Hi Everyone!I am knew to the board. I have a 5 yr. old daughter dx with autism. She was diagnosed at 3.5 and we have been doing the biomedical approach along with the limited therapies we have available in Wichita, KS since then. My husband just received a job offer in Denton, TX. We are very excited because we think there is a lot more to offer our daughter in Texas. We will not be relocating until after the school year. I have done some researching and I have narrowed down some areas that I think would be a good fit for our family. I wanted to find out from you mothers that live there what your advice would be. We also have a daughter that is going to be turning 16 in April and a son turning 2 in March.I want to know out of Flower

Mound ISD and Plano ISD which one would be better for autism services & high school? Do you feel there are just as many out of school therapies around the Plano area as in the Flower Mound area? Is it ridiculous to consider living in Plano and driving to Denton every day? Are there Whole Food stores around either of those areas? My husband will receive insurance through his company, but family is not included and we will have to purchase insurance for the rest of the family. What is the best insurance group to purchase that has the best coverage for autism services in Texas. I'm sure there are waiting lists for great therapists. We would like to find a wonderful ABA therapist, speech and OT therapists. Please let us know your recommendations. I am really at the mercy of you ladies because you can only do so much of research through the internet. Please feel free to add any other

information you feel would be beneficial. I am looking forward to being an active member of the board and which ever community we decide to plant our family in :)Thanks so much,Suzee~
