Guest guest
I will ask nurse when she calls me next week, the one from Roche who calls once a month. I know she was the one who asked me if I would allow them to view my records and that was on the phone. So maybe that's why they have asked for written permission cause I told her yes. I don't think anyone can go into your records without permission at least that is the way it is in California. I will let ya know. Does your state allow people into medical records without permission? That would tick me off but I do know they can't do that here in this state however once I sign others can get the info. hugs...patVickieG wrote: , I wonder what Roche is up to. It wasn't too long ago that I received a call from my dr's office saying that some big whigs from Roche had been there and inspected my records. The nurse commented that they were very happy with my progress at the time, but I was just about 8 weeks into treatment, I think. So early to judge I thought. No one asked me to sign any forms, it was just a notification. Be careful. I too don't mind sharing with Roche either, but the signature thing bothers me. Maybe you can talk to them about it before you sign it. I don't have a prob. with that but it also says when I sign it can be redisclosed to other parties as privacy act will no longer apply. They asked for permission verbally a while back and I said yes so I don't know what's up lol. Heck have a hard time remembering my name!!!! I just don't know who else gets my info anyone have an an idea as to who gets it? They are interested in my case cause of my weird reactions hahaaa, never said I was a normal person. I don't mind them [Roche] doing it, I just don't know who else it goes too. Guess I will sign, I sure don't mind helping research etc. Just worried [hahaaa] there's that word, about who else gets my personal stuff. Guest guest
pat i think that you must give permission to look at medical records in cali. I remember I had to sign some papers when we got into a car accident and my lawyer had to look at them. I guess you are in cali too. If you are I need help locating a live support group and was wondering if you knew where any are and how to get ahold of them. I am up near the Solano/Napa area.
