Guest guest
Hi everyone, In the AAS today there was an article about search and rescue. Check out the website at http://tcsar.serveronline.net/. They are meeting with law enforcement in February and I asked them if I could come and talk about Autism. As some of you may know my son went missing a few years ago and it was by the grace of God that he was found. I did not know of this volunteer organization but I am sure their dogs could have found my son a lot sooner and for less money than the 6 police cars, one ambulance, 2 fire trucks and a helicopter cost the county. When I called the hot line they responded in 10 minutes and they have volunteers all over the Austin area as well as other organizations in Dallas and in Houston. The safety of our children is paramount and not a day goes by that I don't worry that one day he'll go again on a walk about and get turned around, this organization assured me that if he went into the 200 acres of bird preserve behind my house that the dogs could cover the whole area in 2 hours and he would be found. This is a volunteer organization that will be on the top of my donation list this year as well. Gotta love those dogs! Trina
