Guest guest
Thank you for allowing me to join your group. I am excited to read your posts and learn from you. I am currently purchasing my raw milk from a one cow farmer. I have made cottage cheese, keifer, yogurt etc and now I want to expand into making cheese. My husband and I live on an acerage and raise most of our fruits and vegetables preserving for the off months. We also raise chickens for our own use and sell the eggs and extra chickens. Unfortunantly Iowa is a state that bans the sale of raw milk. In order to legally obtain raw milk we have to cross over state lines. I am just learning the health benefits of raw, local food. I have always provided garden vegetables for my family, but now I am trying harder to feed them more natural foods. As a child I lived on a farm so of course had fresh raw milk. Even into my teenage years after Dad was injured and no longer able to farm we still purchased fresh milk. As an adult I forgot how wonderful fresh milk is.
