building your own using pc software and stereo

Hello, I am new and would like input from those experienced using no rift rife computer based software. specifically connections from computer to stereo/amplifier and the type of material to use for electrodes. Also, I am in Aqaba Jordan and some connectors or jacks or converters may not be available to me here, just another little quirk for me to work around.
