Guest guest
If you milk and freeze the milk right away (don't even cool down first--just stick it into whatever container you are going to use and pop straight into the freezer!) it won't separate. At least, it never has on me, as long as I've done it that way. I've had globs when thawing with milk I froze that was older though. Also--on the baby kid (sorry--I can't remember the name of the lady who has him--Vicki??)--PLEASE do not feed that milk replacer to any goat--ever!! You can feed him with much better luck using pasteurized cow's milk than that terrible stuff....it's so expensive too and it's just not worth it! Where do you live? I'm sure you're not in OK but if you are, I'll happily give you some milk for him! If you will e-mail me privately, I will dig up my "recipe" for goat kid formula, that's much better than what you can buy in the store...I got it from a lady who has been doing this for many, many years! That is why I do not do it. Others claim their milk staysfine so maybe?
