Guest guest
I have noticed that Natural News, much like and Bill O'Reilly and many other so called mainstream news sources reports are nearer hyperbole than accurate news reporting. To digest their reports accurately requires that you examine their political agenda as much as their character and reputation. The days of Walter Cronkite are long past and a distant memory. Therefore, I was greatly alarmed by the articles like the one on Rockwell's page. After further examination, however, it appears that the original article - the one that started this all - from NaturalNews.com was overly inflammatory and borderline fear mongering. From the evidence available, apparently the Michigan legislation (though admittedly too broad) IS NOT aimed at, nor intended for small farmers raising heritage pigs for food. You can listen and read for yourselves herehttp://ipr.interlochen.org/ipr-news-features/episode/19381and herehttp://jasonfoscolo.com/?cat=104Best Wishes,
Guest guest
To evaluate the 'placatory' articles in the blogs below, we will need to take them separately.. the interlochen version of reality ignores the fact that the discovery part of the law cases filed against the state has already uncovered the heavy hand of Michigan big farm organizations among the promoters. SO CLEARLY THE POWER MOVING DNR IS THE BIG FARMS THAT DO NOT WANT THE COMPETITION. No one was fighting against the agreement by the legislators that pigs outside their owner's farm fences were fair game for shooting by whomever, based on the anticipated understanding of what the bill would allow/cause. However, the small farmers who raise these heritage hogs are being cited and have chosen to strike at government in the courts, based on the idea that farmers should be permitted to raise what animals they are responsibly producing for market. If the government can tell you what animals you can raise on your own farm and not be able to show that you have caused any harm to your neighbors, then government is clearly acting beyond its constitutional limits as well as unreasonably under common law. The article minimizes the idea that any harm is intended by bureaucrats because at most one farmer is complaining about being harmed. Well the rule among bureaucracy analysis, is that one today is a dozen next month and universal next year ad infinitum. EVEN ONE is clear INDICATION OF TREACHEROUS INTENT Not to mention that there are two farmers pursuing the lawsuit. As for the denigratory remarks that Natural News is being 'inflamatory' and 'Irresponsible', the placatory crowd is in denial that there is any pattern to the behaviors of government that we are see becoming blatant tyranny, from NDAA to Fast & Furious, to Patriot spying and the new version of internet censorship and privacy violations... the big picture must be not ignorable. The other writer is patting himself and his buddy on the back for starting an 'Association' of Mangalitsa breeders last year just in time to challenge the Michigan DNR with their idea of breeding pedigrees. DNR backed down (chose to offer selective enforcement) with the idea that they would not attack pure bred animals of that breed even though there are features, at least one maybe more, that would put the breed on the sights of the DNR killers. So the smug amusement of the writer is not doing the small farmers any good, since it would be so limited and most farmers are not that pure bred focused. No genuine prize for the placating mindset. Guest guest
You can log onto to your personal yahoo account and manage your groups and once you get there you can choose to unsub from there also. Don't ask me how to get there as I am not that computer literate! Guest guest
If you go into the actual group, I don't think you can edit it. You have to go to: http://groups.yahoo.com/mygroups Then click on Edit My Groups at the top left of the page. Then there is a box you can check to Leave the Group. That should work. If not, let me know and I'll see if there is another way to remove yourself.
