Guest guest
I am lucky that I am not dead.... doctors would accuse me of being noncompliant, they would write it in their notes. I do have heart and vascular damage. Kidney GFR is 59-60. I am hoping that i can reverse some of it. I have CHF and Cardiomyopathy. I am only 44 years old. Phyllis Oh my God! Guest guest
Thats funny - thats also why they often get antsy when you ask for records because they sometimes write that to cover their you-know-whats and if you will not take something that isn't working or makes you sick they often do that and write non-compliant. I know in the hospital when that beta blocker dropped my heart rate to 47 and I had all the symptoms of it not being good, I told the nurse I am not taking another HIGH dose of it when she came in with it. But my records make no mention of the 47 heart rate, the violent vomiting, dizziness, and vicious headache, BUT it does say I refused to take the medicine. Another good one. I have gone to the ER and watched them write Crohns instead of Conn's even though I sat their and spelled it to them and told them what it was. Both the doc and nurses just assumed I was mispronouncing it so did it their way anyway. But nurses are often just as bad as docs because the nurses often know EVERYTHING about EVERYTHING in their mind and make their own assumptions also and I overheard them telling the doc, "I think he was trying to say he has Crohns.....". Recently my wife fainted during her pregnancy and we took her up to L & D and when she was being checked out I told the nurse that 's color was off and had been for a day - lips blue, pale, cool skin -even for a redhead - and I told the nurse this and she told me "Oh no, her color is just fine." That was one of the rare times I just couldn't take it and I told her, "Excuse me, this is MY wife and I am the one who knows her color and it's not right for her..." I don't ever tell them I am a physician assistant unless they go on and on explaining something to me that I just get bored listening to and I want them to stop But I am telling you this is far too common and it's a "not listening disease". Don't know the cure. Oh my God! You are so lucky and on the road to normal BP...stay rested untilall metabolism become normalized. Guest guest
That is where I found reference by both the chair of Nepr. Dept and my Endo that flank pain " Was Not " and " Not Likely " , respectivly, caused by PA. I actually wrote a letter and politely let them know that they were incorrect. I aked that they NOT consider it criticism but education. - 64 yo morb. ob. male - 12mm X 13mm rt. a.adnoma with previous rt. flank & testicle pain. Guest guest
Sounds like the Drs are not compliant with guidelines.CE Grim MD Love that Val. My medical files have "non compliant" written all over them and all I was doing is ignoring diagnoses that I knew were incorrect. I have a drawer full of medications that I now know were completely off the mark for PA. Perhaps when you feel better, you can write to each of those doctors and ask them to change their notes from "Not compliant" to "Misdiagnosed."
