Ok Melt,

I gotta ask....what does Shuffle off the Buffalo mean? Isn't it funny when

you say something like that and your significant other has NO idea what you are

talking about? Rick is from California and, though he moved to the Ozarks

before I was even born, he will never be a local boy. I blew him away when we

were talking about a certain political figure the other day. I must have

channeled my long deceased grampa, because before I knew it I had uttered the

phrase " I wouldn't trust him in an outhouse with a muzzle on. " Rick got this

stupified look on his face and just said " What the hell are you talking about?? "

OH! And I loved your post about your garden. I think those were great to let

people know they can still do the things they love...just differently. And on

the newspaper thing...the way I learned to do it in my raised beds: I scraped

the layer of grass off as best I could, laid the newspaper down and then soaked

it with water before putting the topsoil over it. The wet newspaper with the

weight of the topsoil on top actually smothers the roots of grass, weeds and all

below. Once they are dead and the paper has rotted away, nothing comes back

from the bottom! Worked like a charm for me anyway.

WEEEEEELLLLL actually have been known to do that a time or two heee heee but

really those few times I would actually have put his hands up on the table

and we would use our fingers to dance to the music. It was lot's of fun and oh

how we would laugh. Those days are coming again so NOW EVERYBODY, GET SET, music

please and begin! We like rock. When we lived in Oklahoma a couple years we

tried to line dance and in front no less and were such a mess we had to just

start rockin out because we were too hopeless to ever get it, even to follow

much less lead anyone. So my only experience with square dancing was in grade

school. lol. But hey, music is fun and happy in any form and we're all for

dancing. Lot's of partying needs to be had for everyone

after this past winter here at the old island so let's begin, it's Friday night

after all!!! Whoooo Hooooo Yippeeee YYYoooo Kiiiii AAAeeeee, Oh and by the

way, told me last night he's never heard the phrase Shuffle off the

buffalo. Guess you gotta be from a certain place for all the sayings I've

learned from my ancestors, because he's never heard of many of them, lol. Let's

have some fun.
