Guest guest
we have used the clay baths for about a month, once a week. I have noticed some improvement in behavior in both my autistic children. Nothing huge yet, but we will continue and hope for more. > > > Subject: clay bath? > To: Texas-Autism-Advocacy > Date: Thursday, October 2, 2008, 8:10 PM > > > > > > > i've seen this website called evenbetternow. com that offers this clay > bath that supposedly helps autistic kids. does anyone know anything > about this clay bath? does anyone know of someone who's tried it, or is > this clay thing just a scam? >
Guest guest
I actually purchased some but have not used it yet. I certainly don't think it will hurt you (other than financially) but I did hear that it was not effective from some NT people who did it an doctor's office. I'd also be interested to see if others found it effective. The reason I haven't used it yet is because it requires a lot of preparation if you are going to do it in your bathtub - you have to cover the metal in your tub, special draining of the tub afterwards, and other things. I will look at the directions again this weekend and see what else it says. I actually considered doing it oustide in a kiddie pool this summer...I currently just use epsom salt in my son's baths. Epsom salt is very cheap, safe, and available at any drug store.
