Guest guest
Currently on daily dose of:1. Inspra 150 mg2. Amiloride 10 mg3. Zanidip -20 mg4. 2-4 potassium dependingHave over last 18 months developed 1. darkening palms2. serious loss of use of lasttwo fingers left hand3. generalised muscle weaknesss left hand/arm and wasting both upper arm and hand 4. constant twithcing in hand/lower arm5. early mornings left cheek/face/neck numbness and buzzingAll symptoms above particularly bad when potassium is low but also appears to be related to when take Inspra - or so I think3 electro-conduction tests that show complex weaknesses in muscles but over period no significant progressive deterioration so probably not motor neurone - also doctor doesn't think it is MSOperated on for ulnar nerve lesion but none found and had MRIs for head and face but have come back clear - in particulr so far in my head no white matter spots of the type that some here have described - BP gone up a nothch from 140/90 to 150/100 and have some difficulty getting it down to 140/90 - low salt - probably around 1000 mg a day - no added salt diet - seldom go over 1200 a day - potassiuym between 4.3 and 4.8; sodium 130-134.Have narrowing at c6/c7; c4/c5 and possibly some c8/T1 issues but neorologists and neuro surgeon do not think arm symptoms caused by this - given that drug related neuropathies happen - just wondering - done a bit of scattered reading about heightened glutamate levels and relationship to potassium and salt pathways etc, with glutamate imbalances linked to various neurological problems - but of course do not know much about it Any ideas, thoughts comments
