Guest guest
Calcium fluoride does apparently harden the teeth but tooth decay doesn't come from the environment in the mouth but rather its cause is systemic mainly from the ingestion of saccharides (sugars). Thus hardening the teeth in this manner is moot at best as decay will occur anyway in most cases where bad diet is maintained. Sodium fluoride, not calcium fluoride, is what is laced into the water supply and put into toothpaste. It is a toxic waste product from the manufacture of aluminum and phosphate fertilizers. It rots the teeth instead of protecting them. Too much causes a browning and decay of the teeth known as dental fluorosis. It has no benefit being put into the body in any form and it is a well-known carcinogen. In Europe the water systems are mostly ozonized or treated with sodium chlorite (not chloride) which produces similar effects to chlorine but the residue becomes water and a dioxide which evaporates. Chlorine dioxide does not contain the halogens as does sodium chloride (salt) split into its primary components where the resultant chlorine becomes a disinfectant. Caveat Emptor!
