Guest guest
Allie is enrolled in a full schedule of AP [advanced placement] classes. Without her Vyvanse she struggles to pay attention in school, and is frequently in tears. She has kept a straight A average without the Vyvanse, but forcing herself to pay attention in school exhausts her, and homework typically takes her from the moment she gets home from school until 9 to 10 PM with much nagging and tears. With the Vyvanse Allie enjoys school, and is among the top students in class. She gets home after school and dives right into her homework without a word from me. Her homework is always done well before supper, and she has time to relax and enjoy hobbies and interests. Allie takes the 30 mg capsule. I make sure she takes it right after eating breakfast so that she has a good nutritional base for the day. I do have to schedule it so that she takes the Vyvanse 30 minutes before her first class starts, so that she has it in her system by 1st period. The two times she forgot to take it, I went to school to give it to her by 8:45. On those days she did have trouble falling asleep that night because she'd taken the pill later in the morning and the medication was still in her system. She has a slightly reduced appetite at lunch, but sometimes does eat the whole lunch I send. After school once in a while, she wants a snack when she didn't eat her whole lunch. By suppertime her appetite is back to normal and she is ready to eat a good meal. Allie has facial tics that began several years ago when she was on a previous ADHD medication. She takes Clonidine for that. In the summer when she's not taking the Vyvanse, the tics go away almost entirely. We do not give her the Vyvanse during summer, weekends, or school holidays. Whenever I have forgotten to give it to her, her teachers will call me within an hour of getting to school- they can tell she has not taken it. **************Performance you need and the value you want!
