Guest guest
No hot showers or baths for sure. Luke warm or cool. The hot water makes it worse. Re: Drs. Recommendations & Colleen Hello Gaby K.~~~ and all itchers///// please take some time to read this. Always... check with your doc It's Del. I apologize that I don't know everyone, but It's really been busy here, at the site, and as usual, I'm trying to " fix " something on my computer, and it takes for ever. I'm not your best source of information on some of your questions, but I might be able to help just a little. Depending on how bad the itching and rash are scratching on your anywhere... don't use hot water, (ALWAYS DO WHAT YOUR Doctor SAYS, AND NOT ME...) IT HAS BEEN MY EXPERIENCE hot water ACTIVATES THESE LITTLE bacteria, and they star partying when they have a hot sauna to thrive in. If possible, get 10 or twenty lbs of CRUSHED ICE, use cubed if you have no choice. Maybe your mate can do that. If you don't own a lot of " sauna " type white cheap towels, to use on you and the floor, etc.... Walmart AUTO LARGE Shop Rags will do the the trick too! They are having a sale on the white Turkish style is best! When he gets home, with smice, (((((((SHOWER))))))), not a bath. no hot water at all, while he's getting place ready for you to lay down, a linoleum floor or tile, something t that can get wet... go there. make a pallet as to lie on and oh!! yes. get plenty o f zip lock freezer bags to put the ice CRUSHED!!! in. Prop your feet up about 8 inches.. relax, if you have some meditation music that relaxes you.. listen to it.. through headphones. Deeply rub in some anti itch cream or powder to the itchy spots... place the baggies *not TOO full< they may burst when melting... on the bad places. That you already put some ointment or powder on. Cover 'em up. depending on how wide spread, that's what determines the amount of Ice in baggies needed/ ($1.00 store is good for this stuff too. This a little DRASTIC!!!!! BUT IF ANYONE IS DIGGING AT THEIR OWN SKIN SO MUCH >THAT THEY ARE BLEEDING<(it's actually easy to do..) and this drastic, but I've had to have done to me before.. because even in my sleep, I would dig into skin so deep their would be pools of blood, where my knee joints were.. SOP... You do need someone with you. Get 2 washcloths. If hands are itching, breaking too , put the topical medicine cream on. take your arm sand hold them out. Place you thumbs dow. and close and curl your fingers firmly but not too tight, take strong tape. expensive white bandage type tape, or for the southerners, you know what to tape 'em with.. DUCT TAPE!! NOT too tight I'm very serious about that... not too tight, but secure the movement. oh... incase you get confused... the hands are seperated. not handcuff style!! unless you want to! , but the fingers gotta stay in. LAY BAck turn some tv, realize your situation, and thank God you don't have to do a damn thing tonight, except be catered to, but sweet loved ones... HEADPHONES don't forget. If you are experiecing open wounds, es[ecially many blood seeping ditches you have dug into your skin, that are multiplying, and you seem to seeANY improvement in 24/48 hrs.... take a trip to the ER. It could be severly allergic totx, or anyuthing.Loved one.. you need to watch this person like a man that hadn't seen a woman in four years!!! pvt email me if you need to know how to act! My very close and soon to be closer, friend... is 52 yrs. old. Mother and granny... Never been allerigic to anything in her life! Two weeks ago, she started itching.. first the back of the hands, which bleedsif you getrea; mad at somethin'. Then the inside wrists, well, you see where it's going,, I think she got covered in severly itching little red bumps to the point of tears. and she started wheezing with her chest heaving in and out, at the labor required to get air. We made it the ER, her throat almoost swollen shut and her eyes were basically non existant, just laying there , heaving for air. I was told to leave. I think they may havedefibbed her, then of all things, they shot her full of Adrenaline, for about six hours, and she was oK after that. PEANUT BUTTER! they found out it was PEANUT BUTTER! She said she has eaten PBJ sandwiches her whole life! Her body just didn't dig it anymore... Please be careful with this. Most likely it's the tx, don't do the habd taping unless you truly have no other chice. OH.. and keep her on iceuntil its gone... or norning..
