Guest guest Posted March 23, 2000 Report Share Posted March 23, 2000 I don't know how many of you out here have ever gone to Dr. Greene.com -- it's a very informative website by a physician, and is cross referenced for all kinds of topics. I originally went there because of a link to craniosynostosis. Just before I found information on the DOC band and this site, (when Quinn was about 7 weeks old), I wrote my own "question" explaining Quinn's problem, and finally, asking for resources. Since I have found out so much about plagiocephaly, I wrote this site again, explaining what I've found out so far, and suggesting he go to the Plagiocephaly.org site to read the articles, and perhaps drop in on the parent's board/list to see what our concerns are. I told him about the lack of information, as well as the "dismissal" of the problem that many of us have run into. I told him about some of the studies that link plagiocephaly with increased ear infections, eating problems, and TMJ.... and suggested that if nothing else, he talk about "tummy time" along with the "back to the back campaign." I also told him about the lack of information about helmets on the web, and how many parents would just like to be better informed in order to make a choice that is good for their child. ....anyway I wanted to let you know that one day later, a representative has responded, and she is forwarding the information to Dr. Greene, so perhaps sometime in the near future he will do an in-depth (and all of his answers are in-depth!) response about some of these things.
