RE: HI! (OT)

Hi,

I just want stop and say a little hello and let everyone know who is

suffering that they are in my thoughts and prayers. Hi Cat, , Tom,

everyone

from the very beginning of this great group.

A lot of people do not know me, my name is Dottie and I live on Maui. I have

stills but have been in a complete and spontaneous remission, for the last

five years. I follow the group all the time, and think of all of you. I hate

to see everyone suffering!

I had a special treat this week, I got to meet and her husband, they

are a special couple! I hated to see how much she was going through.

, hi! I will drop you a line in the next couple of days. It was so

nice to meet and talk to you, this was the first time I have meet anyone else

with stills.

I do want everyone to know there is hope, there are long remissions(I mean

complete) and it is even possible for the disease to dissipate. My doctors

feel that I am free and clear of stills after 14 years.

I got sick when I was 34 and I was so very sick, had everything that all of

you have...Almost died several times. I was very sick.

But I was very lucky, I just started feeling better one day and over a few

weeks, I was completely symptom free.

I just wanted to give some of the newbies some hope, and know that it can

happen to anyone. I am now 52 and a body builder, and working on my BA in

healthcare hoping to do advocacy work for others with stills and similar

diseases.

I am also hoping to walk the Honolulu Marathon this year to raise some money

for the Foundation.
