Guest guest
Well put Sondra, and I like that he specifically mentions supports for adults with autism. Allie is only 13 now ... but by the time of the next presidential election she will nearly be voting age! I want to go back and read that post again..... I have to think of her future! Guest guest
I like a lot of what Senator Obama says about autism. one thing, though, he stated that he does not support parental choice in vaccines. Since that statement some autism groups have asked for clarifications, to my knowledge none has been given from the Obama campaign. Guest guest
I wouldn't worry about that as a reason to not support him though. Honestly, they will never make vaccines mandatory by federal law because it opens them up to way too many lawsuits. That's why you have to sign consent forms. I am just glad to see that he actually discusses adults with autism, since it's rarely talked about by anyone else. Guest guest
I to be of wanted to share that this is of one of the things that too caused of me to be happy to see of the fact he is of the first ever I ot seen who mentions of adults as if we finally care to society and that we still do have of needs that didnot go away simply because we grew up/// but this is of not the only reasons for my vote for him, but there are of many issues he stands for that causes me more , and for me which causes a more powerful things to have a vote is of the character he reflected through out the whole campaign.. that to me showed of great leadership. He did not let the crazy things sayed of him cause of hims stand to even ripple or quiver. He stood strong and calm and confident. sondra
Guest guest
I think it's great that you have found the candidate you want to support, and that it makes you happy. Debi -
Guest guest
thanks debi, this means much to me that you shared this. not expecting any to agree or dispute of the words but to just be of supportive of my own growth and development in this level of politics. You are of a good friend. I to also be of sorry to have vented here so much in the last few years and feel bad that I to be of so uneven in life at times that I to be of do good then bad then good then bad, but over all have found that the list members here are of good to me either way. and it is of so that most here are of my only strong hold in life. I to be of wanted to say of that. sondra In Autism_in_Girls , " Debi " wrote: > > I think it's great that you have found the candidate you want to > support, and that it makes you happy. > > Debi > > - >
Guest guest
We all have good days & bad days. I don't think you have anything to be sorry about, we all vent & celebrate. I often think of message boards as interactive books. We read about others lives like we would read a book, but we can communicate & interact. Guest guest
Debi that is of a good way to see of things as if it were of a book, oddly my therapist often teaches that we should see people as books. because each person has a story that is of unique to them because it reflect their own life journey which many if we take of the time to invest and read of the book we will find they are of interesting, unusual, powerful, challenged, and the list can go on to describe of each persons within a book. so for a time been of to look at them like that , but had forgotten of that until you shared of this and it triggered open that words from him. sondra
