Isobel - Perhaps it depends on the type: I think on Recovery from Autism they reckoned 2,700mg Phoschol for a therapeutic dose. We are now trying GPC Insta Gel (Crayhon Research) 1200mg from Breakspear which costs a fortune(£90 per 30 vials) which you give every other day so I'm a bit confused really. I think GPC might come in dry form - may be cheaper??? Is that what you use if so where do you get it? It says don't give within 3 hours of bedtime, best taken early in the day. ys we give gpc in the day time no where near bedtime but divided into doses

throughout the day we have seen good results on higher doses recently, Yes it is

Isobel we are on it too.

Good results. Very expensive. Box says don't give at night because its a wake

me up before you go go.

My feeling is, like most supplements with our son anyway, the effect will

eventually level out. It has taken a month to really see the benefits. I front

loaded it for one month but then went to one dose a day , because I didn't know

how much it was going to " rev up " the brain. I intend to do another couple of

months at two a day soon, then tail off to one every other day. Otherwise I

will be flat broke and unable to put in anything else to balance things out.

The therapeutic dose in the research was two a day for adults with dementia and

they found positive improvements. Tried to get it cheaper elsewhere but the

mark up must be standard because everyone's selling it at roughly the same

price.

Maybe the therapeutic dose was so high because the gel goes under the tongue and

I suspect whatever I do my son swallows a fair bit of it.

Like it though because its easy to give and has a nice taste.

Hello!

My son was also given this.We used it a few days, it made him very

agitated,tapping his mouths a lot..so, I stopped it but I would like to use it

in future..In the mean time, he is OK with eggs so,he may get it cholin via

food, isn't he?

I will give a good feeling about his recent supplements by Dr Kees.He is on two

new stuff starting last month.Quino Mit) and Biocarn (levocarnitin)

My son surprises me everyday in terms of improvement his memory, expressive

language, spontaneous language and gross motor movements.He has been on

carnitine from Breakspear for ages..Pure the company they dominantly use but I

have never seen any improvement,possibly he wasn't absorbing, now he is.I can't

count this because he is having seizures as he is having more than a year! This

is new and exciting..I am glad that at least I could say a few positive things

about us..

Do you mind telling the recommendation from dr Julu and Dr Goyal about the

outcome of the test which you had for your daughter at the Breakspear? I am

waiting for a response from the dr at Great Ormond St Hos.whether or not they

thinkDrJulu's test will be helpful to bring some light on my son's condition.

I would really appreciate your view about this observation.

yes we are doing 2000mg at present throughout the day last one 4pm

I dont know where I am going to get it in capsule form after this runs out any

ideas as the gel one is heaven on earth to get him to take it[the only thing he

wont have] he such a good taker of supps.. any ideas where to buy it from

PC and GPC aren't exactly the same thing. You'd want to be using the GPC if

what you want to specifically target are effects on the brain. The research on

GPC is pretty amazing--not specifically for autism, but for stroke victims and

alzheimers.

This is a powder form

we used. I found it easy to dose (as ds takes many supps mixed in with his

CLO). It's only 300 mgs but from what I've read, I wouldn't dose the GPC at

2000 mgs, or at least not do that for more than a month anyhow.

and then will taper to one every other day for a while.

Five weeks in. Evidence I have not had, to date, of other supps.

Development of Episodic Memory. Jay has started referring back to events in his

day.

Tonight I saw in his book an incident where a boy hit him in a queue, so he

tried to hit him back and the teacher told J he mustn't do it.

I asked J who had hit him and waited, usually it takes him a while to process.

A long while. He came straight back at me with the boys name.

Then he volunteered (unprompted) that " was fed up today because x and y

got the scooters and would not let me have a go and that is not fair " . (I think

longest question ever)

I said (trying not to leap up in the air screaming for joy) " What do you mean,

not fair?)

J replied, I mean they SHOULD have let me have my turn.

Sweet!

Added to that - at school his acquisition rate has rocketed since he's been on

it and they keep data.

So this one's staying in for a while even if I sell my body to pay for it.

Which won't pay for it. Damn have to think of something else.

Tonight I saw in his book an incident where a boy hit him in a queue, so he tried to hit him back and the teacher told J he mustn't do it.I asked J who had hit him and waited, usually it takes him a while to process. A long while. I suspect it might be a problem for really sensitive kids--much like CLO with E

in it is a problem for a very few kids. I've not heard of it being a problem,

but don't know many kids who've been on it either.

Can someone give me the exact name of what Dr Goyal is prescribing please? I

looking good to me. Harder to see when you're the child's Mum but I saw him as

Like the Insta GPC as you may have gathered but eek I'd pay anything for my kid

to get well, its worth it but wish it was cheaper. Come on Crayton Research,
