Guest guest
Welcome Cairo I'm in the UK too, and I know you'll enjoy the support and motivation from the list, I ceratinly do. As far as I'm aware there is a Tb advanced and TB Gold available from the shops over here, also available from QVCUK is the original four pack and the studio live (aka shannon tapes cos shannon is in them) four pack of tapes and they're very good prices I'm getting back into working out after a break of some 6 months or so after working out most of last year. I'm not sure which instructional you've got but the newer one (about an hour long I think, not the one at the end of the basic tapes!) is definitely the better one. The important thing is to pace yourself, especially in this hot weather! and work on keeping the form of you moves correct, rather than trying to keep up. Guest guest
Thank you for replying Janick. :-) I am really excited about starting a different way of life to the one I have been currently leading and will hopefully be able to complete a 21DC at some stage soon. I know you are right about not getting discouraged and I aim not to. Do you know what sort of diets members follow? I have just started a customised low-carb diet. I've read a great deal of books and have taken the good points from each in order to create my own eating plan. I have also started taking a thermogenic (Xenadrine - which in the UK is sold without Ma Huang/Ephedrine thus making it safer). My aim is to lose around 30lbs within the next 6 months which I hope is achievable. Cairo X > Welcome to the group Cairo! Guest guest
Hi Jill, Thanks for writing back. I initially bought the Tae Bo tape which has the basic on it and the instructional at the end, but then was given the 3 video set being sold in HMV etc which has Instructional, Tae Bo 1 and Tae Bo 2 as separate tapes. I then went and bought Tae Bo 3 which has recently come out. Is there a lot of difference between the tapes? Should I invest in the original 4 pack also? Cairo, I am a lifetime member of WW and lost most of my weight following that program! I am currently maintaing and have just recently started concentrating more on eating low-carb as well! I have about 5 lbs that I would like to lose and am not cutting out carbs, just trying to eat less of them...LOL! I just started trying to eat lower-carb a week ago and can really tell a difference! My diet was primarily carbohydrate...lol! Now, I am just trying to be more conscious of what I am eating and before I eat something, I stop to see if there is something else I could eat that would be better for me! It has really helped me with my cravings! Anyway, there are lots of low- carb people on this list, I think! It's just a matter of finding out what works best for you Good luck with changing your lifestyle! Be careful with the thermogenic! It's good that the one you are taking doesn't contain Ma Huang/Ephedrine! Just make sure you only take the recommended dosage! Also, those pills have A LOT of caffeine in them, so be careful about that, too! who is procrastinating BIG TIME about doing AL5...LOL

Guest guest
Hello Hi everyone, I am quite new to Tae Bo and am very pleased to have come across this group for support and inspiration. I live in London, England and first learned of Tae Bo from a commercial. Since then I have read about it in various fitness magazines where celebrities are highly recommending it. I have four of the videos (Tae Bo instructional, Tae Bo 1, Tae Bo 2, and Tae Bo 3)and am planning to start working out with them this week. I did the Tae Bo instructional tape earlier this year but gave myself a hard time for not knowing the moves and decided to quit. Watched the tapes again last month and realized I could do this, there was no need to quit. All I needed to do was believe in myself, know I could do it and not worry about how silly I may have felt by not doing the moves properly the first time. Tae Bo isn't widely known in the UK yet but I have a feeling it wont be long before it catches on. Welcome, Cairo! Good for you for giving taebo another try! I had a very difficult time learning the moves in the beginning. Taebo seemed like a foreign language. Now, I've been doing it for over 2 years and love it. It's a great feeling to conquer your fear of new moves! Elena
Guest guest
Re: Hello Cairo The original 4 pack is the oldest and 's style has changed since then, I'd suggest you look for the Studio Live 4 pack as it's more upto date and great fun Jill and Cairo, I'm not sure, but I think you all may be able to order additional tapes from Northern Exposure. Someone posted here that Northern Exposure now has tapes available in PAL format, including the live volumes through volume 6. Elena

For the most part, I feel pretty confident in mine too. Before, I used to wear the swimsuit, shorts, shirt, hat.....ha.... okay, maybe not the shirt and hat, but I always had to wear shorts over my suit.. Oh boy, what would we do without our Tae-Bo?!?
