Patra, I can assure you it is safe. There are some weird theories floating around that lack any scientific verification. Kombucha is a wonderful food. If it agrees with you, go for it. I've always had Kombucha and my 6 children who have sometimes too, have extraordinarily strong immune systems. Keep on enjoying the yum stuff! Guest guest
Hi Patra, i'm not a medical expert but i think i can offer a useful opinion. I've never seen any information that indicates KT is not safe during pregnancy, or anything even remotely suggesting any of the known constituents of KT are not safe. I've noticed many " experts " advise against very healthy things during pregnancy like raw milk, raw honey, and raw vegetables in an effort to appear cautious and responsible. They really look silly to me when they base their advice on flimsy speculation in a complete vacuum of information. Do your own research and trust your own decisions. Guest guest
I just gave birth last August and I ate lots of lacto fermented veggies. They are actually full of vitamins one being frolic acid because they are fermented. That being said I also drank KT during the first part of my pregnancy and it helped with nausea for me. I think the same way ACV in water is suggested for morning sickness. But after about 3 months I didn't want it. I was actually repelled by the idea of drinking Kombucha. So my opinion is that you should listen to your body. It knows what it needs. I gave birth to a healthy 9lb boy. He is my biggest baby and I have 6 kids all with my husband and the only thing my doc and I can figure is different is that I eat a much healthier diet so I got a big healthy baby. Congrats!! Enjoy this precious special time Thank you, Gresham sgoats.com > I just found out that I'm pregnant. Guest guest
Hi Alina and EveryOne, I have read that when people first start drinking Kombucha it can result in the release of heavy metals and drugs taken in the past as well as other toxins. Therefore I do not recommend _starting_ to drink Kombucha when pregnant or nursing. However, after a few months that detox is reduced and many people have been drinking Kombucha throughout their pregnancies with no problems at all. Best of health and happiness to all! Guest guest
I can tell you from my experience that drinking Kombucha during pregnancy was actually helpful. I was the only thing that took away the nausea. Then when my baby was born, if I didn't drink it, she would get gassy. I think the probiotics in it would help our digestion immensely. Congratulations on your baby and God's blessings on you both!
