I have posted before looking for 2 ND does, that we could afford but that was

just for my own personal desire. Now I have been approached by our new County

Agent to form a 4-H dairy goat club. 4-H, in our county, has fallen off quite a

bit & he wants to get it going again. It is a rural comunity. I am the leader of

the new Rabbit Club. It is doing well, as is the new Horse club.

& I are both disabled so we must have smaller goats that we can handle. We

have had ND's When we lived in TX & dearly loved them. Of course, since we live

on SSD, money is definitely an issue. We have located a sponsor who is

interested in seeing 4-H built up again. He will match our funds, up to $150, to

get 2 registered, 4-H showable, dairy goats. Managing the $150 is do-able for

us. We have a well fenced pasture with only 1 very tame & loveable donkey in it.

We are animal people & while, like most seniors today, money is always an issue,

we do have enough to keep our 2 dogs, 2 house cats, flock of chickens, 2

California Rabbits, & Sparky, our donkey, well fed, up to date on shots & vet

care, & loved.

We can afford the goats care, it is just a problem coming up with a chunk of

cash to purchase them. The goats will be registered in our grandson's (who we

are raising) name. He will care for & show them, with our help & supervision. We

have a neighbor child who has a ND doeling & a wether, who is anxious to join

the club & we know of 2 other children who already want to join.

If anyone has or knows anyone who has an interest in helping 4-H grow & wants to

help this club get started by selling us 2 ND does for no more than a total of

$300, please contact me.

We live outside Columbus, MS. I will be copying & posting this to all the goat

groups that I belong to, in hopes of finding someone to help.

Thank you for reading this & considering helping us.
