Guest guest
I don't want to piggy back off the last email, but do have a question. I have thought a coteaching environment for my oldest would be a good option. But I wanted to see the experience of others. Also, is this a common practice in your district? I haven't seen this practiced in my district, but see no reason why I couldn't advocate for it, even if my son doesn't get the pleasure of being in that style of classroom. Thanks,Melody
Guest guest
Are you asking about a co-teach setting or an inclusion classroom? We had the most wonderful experience with a co-teach classroom in kindergarten. It worked amazingly well on expanding social skills and language - the jumps in both were off the charts! BUT all parties involved knew exactly what they were doing and loved doing it. My kids have moved beyond co-teach and are in an inclusion classroom now.
