Edinburgh Autism Workshop: Natural Environment Teaching/ 7th Feb 2011

Dear parents,

We are currently organising an all day workshop on ABA on Monday 7th February

with Risca from 9am to 3pm. The focus of the workshop is on Learning in

the Natural Environment. The subjects that will be covered are listed below:

1. Overview of Applied Behaviour Analysis a...nd Verbal Behaviour.

2. General Guidelines for Natural Environment Teaching.

3. Use of declarative Language.

4. Everyday situations and identification of learning opportunities.

5. Ideas on what and when to teach.

6. Examples of Natural Environment Teaching Plans for everyday activities.

7. Motivating Activities: Identifying the activities your child enjoys.

8. Increasing the range of activities.

9. Developing your own natural environment plans.
