Hi Shauna,

I'd give the doc/nurse a call. Noah's tummy bulged out and he did

have some bruising as he grew closer and closer to the cast change

date, but we never had any digestive issues. I think it's best to

give them a call to be on the safe side.

it's too tight in the stomach already! Its more like the mushroom

cut out like Dr. Mehta's cast so it points in at the stomach.

Whenever she eats, her little tummy already bulges out and the

points of the cast really press in her stomach. She's eating ok, but

every time she eats she throws up in her mouth(doesn't come out) at

least 3 - 4 times and has been having diarrhea. She also has already

had/has bruising there at the points as well. We untaped her and

padded her up a little extra there because when she fell, she

already got an open wound from the point pressing on her.  Her

follow up apt is not until July 30th and i was hoeing we'd be able

to wait that long and maybe they would just open up her tummy hole a

little bit. But, is it safe to wait that long? My sister in law said

something about maybe it was pushing her stomach up which got my

head turning. Any experience or advice? I can

Hi Shauna,

Poor little Hadley! Has she had some reflux/regurgitating before casting, or is that totally new? When Todd's casts get too tight, he gets constipated and does not want to eat solids. I'd definitely call her doc. Let us know what happens. I hope she gets some relief soon!

Good luck,

It sounds just the way Noelle's belly looks when she eats, etc.... When Noelle got her first cast, we experienced some spit up and dry heaving for a couple of days and then she was fine... Could be she's just taking a little longer to adjust? I would call the doc to be sure. Noelle has reflux, so when they did the cut-outs they were a little generous in the stomach area. Maybe it's possible to open up the stomach cut-out a bit more to relieve the pressure on her stomach a bit.... Hope it works out! Steph
