Max OT, week 2

Well, week 2 of this Max OT experiment went pretty well! I thought I

was going to post more often about it, but I didn't end up doing many

videos. I definitely felt the more DOMS this week than last, so I

think I did a pretty good job at choosing my weights for the low reps

this time. The first week was helpful in figuring out what to use.

This program is something I'll probably do on occasion, though I

suspect I would get bored with it if I followed it for more than 2

weeks or so at a time. But I think the website offers many different

routines, so maybe not. Then again, I've learned 2 weeks is about

all the attention span I have for any workouts that are similar! ;)

I would have been happier if I had done another day or two of cardio,

but I'm satisfied with how the week went, overall.

Mon – Legs and calves + Kathy abs

Tues – Biceps, triceps, forearms

Wed – Shoulders + 45 min on tmill

Thurs – Back + Cathe abs + 's Walk Kick

Fri – rest

Sat - Chest + 20 min rowing

The Kathy abs on Monday was stability ball abs from her new

Tummy Trimmers dvd. It contains 5 ten minute routines. It was a

decent abs workout, and I again noticed (as I did with Project You)

that the beat of the music was very well matched to the rep speed.

That is always helpful, especially with abs when I don't look at the

TV as much. Some of the moves were the same as Amy Bento's stability

ball abs from last week.

Cathe abs on Thurs was a selection from her Ab Hits dvd (compilation

of ~13 abs routines from older videos). I went with the segment from

Step Heat. It was just basic crunches – reg, rev, and oblique - but

she does the reps quickly, with pulses, holds, and without breaks, so

I felt a bit of a burn from it. Nice work, and it moves quickly.

's Walk Kick is probably one of my favorite 's, if not

THE favorite, lol. I just really like all of the variety in this

one, as she includes tap outs, hamstring curls, etc – in addition to

the simple " kickboxing " segments. I wore my weighed gloves and was

able to work up a sweat, even. ;) It would be great if she came out

with a new workout similar to this one, maybe a little bit longer!

Next week will be a light week for me, so I'm looking forward to some

less serious workouts! : )

Happy heart day!

Sara
