Hi , thanks for the welcome! Wow, that weight loss is so great!! Is it the Yoga Booty Ballet Hip Hop Abs that you do? I have that one and like it a lot, it's a fun workout.

I would ideally like to loose about 20 more pounds, then I would be about 125, which is probably the best I could hope for after having had three kids I think. The weight has been coming off pretty slowly and gradually, but I think that is probably the best way to have it come off and stay off. I'm not on any strict diet regimen, but try to be more aware of what I eat, but have a sweet tooth...that's my downfall, LOL.

What is Chalene Extreme? I haven't heard of that one yet.

Sonja > To: exercisevideos > Welcome Sonja,> > I know how you feel. I was in the same situation with the weight. I am a work at home mom of three. My kids are 9, 5, 2. I started Hip Hop Abs (lots of fun) lost about 10 -15 lbs and joined the Y. Lost more and have done ups and downs with weight but more down then up so I am now 50 - 55 lbs lighter!!! I have about 15-20 more to go. It's taken a while but it doesn't happen overnight so I am happy. I am now doing ChaLene Extreme at the Y and at home. I will probably do Great Abs G. also. ( I am lovin' them both!)> > Congrats on the weight loss! So how much more do you want to lose? > > > > > > Quick access to your favorite MSN content and Windows Live with Internet Explorer 8. How about that....125 is my goal too. How tall are you and your age? If you

don't care to answer. I just turned 29. I am 5.3. Three kids but no more! i had

that taken care of. That is one reason I really wanted to lose. Each time in the

past I lost weight, I ended up preg. again. lol.

I have y.b.b. It's not one of my fav's. No, Hip Hop Abs is from Beachbody also.

T is the instructor. It's a lot of fun!! Lot's of dancin' Hip Hop style.

I also have a sweet tooth for CHOCOLATE!!!! I have a rule. I can have it in

moderation but b/4 7p.m. That rule has helped me a lot. I think a slow weight

loss is good. The results stick better.

ChaLene Extreme is new. I don't know how new. It is great. She says (which I've

always believed) .... Muscle Burns Fat. She does heavy weights with slow and low

amount of reps. Plus, there are 5 different workouts for the week. And then

there are 3 months of this program so a lot of variety. I've been doing weight

training all along but find myself rushing thru the reps and doing the same

stuff! So, I'm really feeling and enjoying this program. It is going to get me

to my goal!

I ended up becoming a Beachbody Coach a couple months ago when I was searching

for some work from home opp. and thought this opp. was perfect for me b/c I

have bought many of their programs ever since '99. SO, I now get their stuff

for 25% off! I take their metabolism formula (multi vitamin) and their slimming

formula supplement. Plus, they just came out with Shakeology! It's awesome! I

drink it once a day for a meal. It's like eating 5 salads. It has really good

ingredients, full of all that healthy stuff that I would never eat that are

good for me so, I am happy with it. It keeps me regular. lol. Oh! If I ever have

a binge night and am all bloated the next morning, I have the Shakeology in the

morning and the bloat soon passes!! lol. Here are some links if you want to look

at it.

Hi Sonja,

I'm sorry it has taken me a while to welcome you but here I am saying "Welcome!" You're doing super great with your weight loss, congratulations!! I'm , by the way, mom to 2 (an almost 11 year old boy and a 7 1/2 year old girl) plus 1 boy in heaven. I'm also the resident Weight Watchers leader. I lost 25 pounds on the program and have kept it off almost 3 years now. I was just thinking earlier though that I'm actually 40 pounds lighter now than I was at my highest WW weight. When I was on the program 7 years ago I lost 24 pounds and then regained some of it a few years later. This time I went 15 pounds under my goal weight and am at my lowest and healthiest weight ever in my life. I have been heavier than that too (non-pregnant) but I'm not sure by how much, I was avoiding scales at that time! I'm just under 5' tall too so 25, 40 or any pounds just don't have that many places to go!

In my next life I plan to be a dancer. I've always wanted to just be able to tell my body to move certain ways and expect that it can and will (and will actually look graceful doing it). Unfortunately, I have 2 left feet and no sense of timing or rhythm so instead of dance workouts I enjoy walking workouts, kickboxing (without combos), bootcamp workouts and my latest obession is all things The Firm. I pretend I can dance when I'm on roller skates or ice skates because I can glide unlike without them and because I have the athletic skill to pull off fancy moves but I know I look ridiculous doing them (and don't particularly care). I love working out with weights because I usually do not have to worry about rhythm, combinations and coordinating my arms and legs at the same time (I also love how I look when I do it consistently and I feel very strong emotionally too because of it). I look forward to hearing about your workouts and possibly living vicariously through the dance workout reports! :-)

Hi Everybody,I recently joined and am very happy to be a member of this list! A little bit about me...I am a stay at home mom with three kids ages 12, 9 and 3. I have been a member at a health club for 8 years, but didn't start using exercise dvds at home until last summer. I discovered that I was at my non-pregnant highest weight ever at a dr's apointment and decided that I needed to add much more cardio to my exercise routine. My goal is to get in exercise every day and being able to do exercise at home makes that much more doable for me. I still go to the gym, but love my dvds! Most of the stuff I do at the gym is less cardio...pilates, yoga and muscle conditioning, but I also started doing zumba there and I love it! All of my dvds are cardio. I have a backround in dance so I do alot of dance type workouts but I also do some tae-bo, cardio kickboxing, bootcamp and biggest looser workouts. I have lost about 18 pounds since starting my new exercise regimen! I have been gradually building up my dvd collection and really look forward to getting recommendations from you guys.Take care!Sonja

I used to workout in gyms but decided I really don't enjoy them as much as I do my video workouts. I push myself much harder with videos for my cardio and I never felt comfortable with the weight machines (I think they're made for taller people and some don't adjust well for people my height). I tried doing free weights too but never remembered what the trainer taught me during the intro session and didn't want to pay for more personal training. I decided to try videos a few years ago and searched for a group to learn about them and what was available. I found this group and have been hanging out (and building my workout video collection) ever since!
