Guest guest
I can't stop thinking about Mandi and her family today--very, very sad. This is just a reminder post for anyone using methotrexate, especially if you're just starting it, to be aware of the " methotrexate blues. " I sink into a terrible depression about 24 hours after I take it (I do 22.5 mgs/9 cc's by injection) that lasts for a day, sometimes two, even though I do a Leucovorin rescue 9-10 hours after taking it. My hubby jokes about keeping me away from sharp objects on that day, but after we talked last night about Mandi, I think we both have a better understanding of how serious this can be. Dealing with a chronic illness and pain is enough reason to be suicidal. Now we're adding medications that might exacerbate those feelings. Keep a safety net handy, everyone!
