Guest guest
Thanks, Sara! I see our stories really are familiar. :-) I am so bummed about gaining the 30 lbs back so soon. I was wearing such cute summer clothes last year. I enjoy other instructors too. I like Amy Bento, but her Slo-Mo workout caused back pains, but I will try it again with lighter weight next time. I have many others, but I seem to gravitate back to Cathe, probably because of the music and fun factor. I have Tony's P90X, and although I don't smoke I must have been smoking something when I bought that one, thinking I could do it. :-) It's a fantastic program, but probably not for me. By the way, I have a cat named Angel. :-) Angels seems to think my workout time is her time to fall at my feet! > > > > I want to take a moment to introduce myself and say hello to the group. I have lurked off and on for some time now, and see you all have a lot of fun here. I used to be a member of Firmies4Life, so I recognize some oldies but goodies here. :-) *waving* Hello! > > > > My name is (as you can see by my screenname) and I live in Chicago. I am married with adult sons. I used to workout at home regularly, but somehow lost my mojo when I changed jobs, began working much longer hours and even took on a 2nd job. Along with losing my fitness mojo, I lost my shape! LOL I have gained 25 lbs in a three-year period. sigh Last year I lost 30 lbs with Sparkpeople and thought I was super hot, but that lasted only a minute and the weight is back! lol > > > > I ordered GoWearfit from Amazon and am excited about getting it. It should arrive tomorrow. I've already begun working out at home again. I have a lot of old dvd's (cathe mostly). I saw Cathe's STS series and know I can't handle that yet! Also, I am older now and I think Cathe's high impact workouts will be too much. > > > > Anyhow, I'll stop rambling. I look forward to chatting with you all. > > > > > > >
Guest guest
Welcome !!! Look forward to chatting with ya! Judy... > I have 2 dogs (german shorthairs) and they too seem to think exercise time is time to get crazy. When I do situps or pushups they try to get on me. Lets just say I can not crunch a 60lb dog --yet! Omg. That is too funny about your dogs. Just like kids!!!
Guest guest
Hi ! I'm looking forward to fitting back into packed-away clothes, too! It will be like shopping without spending any money, lol. I like Amy a lot, too! And Kathy , Jari Love, Gunnar , , Tracey Staehle, Blanks, etc, etc, etc. LOL I tried Tony's P90 and P90 masters a little bit last fall and didn't click with him very well. I haven't given up on him yet, since I think his workouts are quite good, he's just not re-appearing for a while, heh. I'd probably buy P90x if I found it cheap enough. Angels sounds like a good workout buddy! My dogs are usually blocked out of my workout room, otherwise I'm sure they would be under my feet, too. Guest guest
Sara, > I'm looking forward to fitting back into packed-away clothes, too! It will be like shopping without spending any money, lol. I have done the same thing. I've have bought a couple pieces here and there, thinking to myself that I would get into them someday. That someday has finally come! I'm so excited to take the tags off and wear them. It's like a dream come true. And I'm not keeping my 'big' clothes either! This is a done deal. I'm not going back! I can't believe there was a time I let myself get so close to being XXL. Mentally I've always considered myself to be a L. It's weird now that I'm a M and even close to a S. Crazy but I'm love it. > I tried Tony's P90 and P90 masters a little bit last fall and didn't click with him very well. It comes out to be 50% off plus it's all new (not used.) I think it's a great deal! My husband ended up mentioning it to a co-worker and he bought the p90x from me so I got most of my money back and still have all the other videos. If you have some of those videos already you could keep them and sell the new ones to those who are interested. Just a thought. I will probably do p90x after I finish CLX. She's doing a good job of kick my booty though. LOL. OH! I'm only 10-15 lbs away from my goal now! GO ME! Guest guest
Hi , Nope, I'm not going back this time either. However, I'm doing it slow and steady so I won't be dropping sizes as quickly as last time. A good thing for me. Great job with your progress! P90X can be had for $50-60 on ebay, usually with a guarantee. I bought Hip Hop Abs and Slim in 6 at goodwill for a few dollars. Heck, even got P90 from freecycle! I have 2 from Yoga Booty Ballet that I got for about 5 bucks, but I don't like that series very much. Beachbody coaching is not for me, but thanks anyway. Guest guest
See...I told you I was a tortoise, too! LOL Excellent news on the clothes! I usually have pretty good luck at goodwill when I'm in the mood to dig around for stuff. I won't have to worry about that for a while, though, thankfully. I don't like clothes shopping one bit - skinny clothes or not! Sara > > Slow & steady wins the race! It took me 8 months to lose 25 pounds but I didn't gain once in that entire time and I've kept it off for almost 3 years now. Got rid of the fat clothes AND what were my skinny clothes that became way too big for me too! Whee!

We all have our likes and dislikes. That's awesome ya'll are getting some really good deals on videos. I love a good deal myself. I'm not all that crazy about MLM either but it seems that any thing you want to do as far as, at home work involves it, so I decided to do it with a company I know is legit and offers good products. Ya know? I know a few people that are signing up as a coach just for the discount off the new Shakeololgy product. They aren't doing anything with it as far as coaching and that is completely okay. However, I understand and respect your view on the " no' to the coaching. Keep up the good work on the weight loss. Slow and steady will get you there!!! WooHoo!!! Guest guest
I like the most intense 10 min of YBB and that's it. Doesn't seem like much of a workout at all. I gave mine away. I have Hip Hop Abs as well and I might sell it. Only did it once and its just not my thing at all. I signed up for the VIP autoship of Chalene's Hip Hop Hustle and I'm hoping its nothing at all like Hip Hop Abs. a > > > > Hi , > > > > Nope, I'm not going back this time either. Guest guest
I guess I am the dancey pants of the group, even though I'm choreography challenged and it takes me awhile to get it sometimes. I love YBB, Turbo Jam, Hip Hop Abs and Hip Hop Hustle Hip Hop Hustle is an aerobic dance format put out by Powder Blue Productions (Chalene's company) along with PiYo and Turbo Kick. The moves are introduced in layers, as in Turbo Jam and for that reason I feel more successful at it than I do at traditional hip hop classes at the gym. I don't plan on ever teaching it, but I do like the dvd's and the music, though if I did teach the class I'd probably use music that was more raw and less censored. On the contrary, I *would* like to teach PiYo (pilates / yoga fusion class, it's somewhat advanced) someday when I'm stronger and feeling more confident about it.
