TEA Proposed Commissioner's Rules 19 TAC Chapter 89

How do we find out if/what/when the final rules come out? It says on

their site Sept. 30 is the proposed effective date, but I guess that

doesn't necessarily mean anything? Do you think that if it goes

through just like it's currently written, that it will make much

difference to those trying to get appropriate services through

schools? Or will schools still find ways to not provide them? Just

wondering....

Just talked with TEA. The rules did NOT go into effect Oct 1, but will probably

go into effect mid-October. I was told to check back then. Pam
