Welcome to the group, Manal! Don't give up on TaeBo. It has really changed

my life. You said you are doing the advanced tape just about everyday. Did

you change the way you eat too? Maybe you should try other forms of exercise

too. I know

I'm sorry about that.....I had a computer problem and the message was

delivered before I finished. Anyway, I was suggesting that you try other

forms of exercise as well. I know others in the group do that. It's good to

switch up sometimes to keep the body from getting used to a certain routine.

Good luck on reaching your goal. I'm sure others will have advice for you

too.

Welcome Manal!!

Please don't be dissapointed, I'm sure you'll se changes very soon, but don't

give up. Maybe you should try different Tae Bo videos, so you work out different

body parts.

hiya manal! welcome to the group! i am very pleased to meet you :)

if you are able to do an advanced tape every day and are feeling great then

by all means keep doing it! if you are not feeling any pain or extreme

tiredness then you are not overdoing it.... listen to your body, it will

tell you loud and clear if you are.

also a month is not very long.... i have about 30 pounds to lose and im

giving myself 5 months to do it. although each of us is different, i still

dont think that you have given yourself enough time. yes, the changes are

slow coming but if you keep on exercising then good changes are inevitable.

please try to keep a positive attitude about it... and know that you are

not alone!

if you like, why not try to alternate between your advanced taebo tape and

something else? perhaps another one of billys tapes which would get you

doing other types of wonderful things to your body...heh heh. ;)

Manal,

Everyone is different. Some people like working out every day, and others

prefer to workout 3 to 4 days per week. It's really up to you. Listen to

your body though, and be good to yourself!

HI!! Welcome to the list. Not sure if we reiceved your " getting to

know you " file or not. I don't think so... hmm... Don't feel down.

Tae-Bo will certainly change you and you will be dropping sizes

before you know it. You just need to be persistent and patient.

Keep working hard and your goals will be reached. Best of luck in

your journey. Post questions whenever you have any!!!

Manal,

The food can be a difficult part to task. I know that I have my days as well.

For the most part, I do pretty good, then I let myself have one goodie too many

and then I'm back to eating everything and then some. Each time I do that, I

get myself back on track. Listen to your body as far as what it wants to do. If

it can handle everyday, that's fine. Start off slowly and ease your body into

it.

Sandie, Tae and Bo who is saddened to lose Coach Gruden to Tampa Bay--he is one

hottie though :o)!!!!

As always, you are very welcome. The power of BFL is in the fact that it

pits us against our own thinking and challenges us to transcend our perceived

limitations and become our own hero. I believe in the human spirit's

capacity to exceed and succeed. (You may quote me on that! :)

Kick butt and take no prisoners!

Leigh...

I feel for you! I went to the dr. the other day about my knees. No surgery

for me (yet) but he wants me to only do 1/2 squats and 1/2 leg presses until

I develop my quads more to keep my kneecap from pulling to the right. (it is

rough on the back and grinds when I bend my knees and hurts after doing

legs).

Not sure how working my legs 1/2 as much is going to develop them *more* but

I'll play along for a while. At least until I get another 30 pounds off,

maybe that'll help!!

Lana.

PS... don't forget abs! You could do a whole day (or 2) a week killing

them!

Leigh,

My advice would be to work out upper body a little more, do it in a circuit

fashion to get your heartrate up, eat immaculately clean with smaller portion

sizes than when you can do cardio and hang tight until after surgery. DON'T use

it as an excuse to go off the plan totally since you can't do it all. If you

do, you'll be so sorry once you've recovered from surgery and have that much

more work to do. Eating clean can make A LOT of difference in the shape you'll

be in at surgery time.

Sara

Does anyone have any suggestions?? Everything has stayed the same as

far as eating and cardio, I do upper body 2 X per week, but am

thinking if I should be doing more.

I think you could try doing upper body 3 X per week if you feel like

you can.
