Guest guest
19 degrees in Portland?! Wow! We're at 36 right now in Michigan. That is cold enough for me but tropical compared to you! Junior must have enough insulation to not feel that window, sounds awful to me. I don't blame you at all for not wanting to do the Turkey Trot, I'm sure you are not alone in that decision. Enjoy PC 3! I might do a workout, I might not. I've been so crazy (busy and other crud) this week that I haven't wanted to make the extra effort to make time for it but might before we leave for dinner (but after watching the Detroit & Macy's parades on TV). I'm not too concerned, next week will be better. My eating has been better this week and I'm actually below my happy weight right now so that is helpful going into tomorrow. Have a wonderful, peaceful, WARM Turkey Day! bagging the Turkey Trot When I woke up it was all of 19 degrees outside this morning, and it will be the same tomorrow. I don't even want to take a freezing cold MAX (light rail) ride to the zoo to pick up my packet after work! It's COLD outside. Cold and rain I can handle, and indeed, anticipated, but this is ARCTIC. It feels like Minnesota... in Portland! My fat and super fuzzy Creamsicle cat, Junior, isn't phased a bit by this, he's up against the cold window looking outside. , the older and wiser extra fuzzy svelte Creamsicle, has been hanging out by the heater and snuggling with me under the covers.I'm going to sleep in and work out at Studio LouLou with Push Circuit 3 tomorrow morning, which will put me into week 6 of 12 for CLX!If I should get Round 43 (which is waaaaay late) I will of course do that instead. Can't wait to see it and get the new music!Hope everyone has a lovely Thanksgiving!
Guest guest
Well, Junior has the extra insulation to help keep him warm so he's probably happy it is cooler. As for me, I will be enjoying an almost 80 degree day for Thanksgiving. It's suppose to get cooler this weekend and may even dip down to the 40's overnight, but still in the 60's during the day. Come visit!?! Tonya When I woke up it was all of 19 degrees outside this morning, and it will be the same tomorrow. Guest guest
Sounds heavenly, Tonya! But it would seem wrong somehow to have TG in 80 degree weather, kind of like Halloween was in Maui Besides, it's a balmy 37 right now! Happy Thanksgiving! There is a new WW program being rolled out on Monday that I've been on for the last 5 weeks or so and it is really helping a lot. It is more flexible and more liveable, plus having to focus on learning it helped me refocus too. You have been doing so awesomely (is that a word?) that even if Friday isn't great, you will recover quickly, I'm sure of it! As I get older, I find I'm really tired of the cold quickly. Being at my happy weight (and very low body fat, going back to that conversation) also means I'm less insulated so cold affects me a lot. I've lived in Michigan my entire life and would miss the change of seasons and even the snow if I moved somewhere that doesn't have those things as dramatically as we do but I could stand to vacation somewhere warm for extended periods each year too! :-) I noticed the ski lodge near me was making snow today. Miriam LOVES snow but she thought it didn't look real enough and would agree with you that if it is going to be cold than it might as well really snow! I hope it gets warmer for you soon!! bagging the Turkey Trot When I woke up it was all of 19 degrees outside this morning, and it will be the same tomorrow. Guest guest
You will LOVE it, Judy! Especially as clued in as you are to health issues research, you will love it. They did 4 years worth of research, including 2 years of randomized clinical trials (MUSC did them, WW had nothing to do with them at all) before launching it so all the latest science of weight management is behind it. If you can't get to a meeting this week, definitely stay for one as soon as you can and stay for an orientation afterwards, it will be well worth the extra 20 minutes or so. E-tools is set to change Monday but I think you'll have the option (for now at least) to keep using the Momentum program since meetings will be going all through Saturday introducing the program (all meetings this week are primarily about getting people started on the new program). I'm not sure about that though. Enjoy the change when you get to start, it is great!!! bagging the Turkey Trot When I woke up it was all of 19 degrees outside this morning, and it will be the same tomorrow.
