A hot chicken is diced chicken between 2 slices of bread with gravy on top. The gravy they put on has a specific taste, and it's called hot chicken sauce here. We also have poutine sauce (a specific kind of gravy) and barbeque sauce (which is the sauce we usually eat with rotisserie chicken, another type of gravy). The BBQ sauce we eat here is completely different from the one you refer to in the states. Our BBQ sauce is salty, not at all sweet, and has a slight tomatoey taste to it. Guest guest
You're right. It definitely sounds different from what we have here, but I'm sure it tastes great.
