Jackie...

I have to agree with you. While I appreciate the exposure that she is giving to

autism, and don't mean to sound ungrateful....I was a bit taken aback by how she

keeps saying how everyone can afford treatments and therapy. I don't know what

world she is living in.....and of course SHE can afford it....but on more than

one show she indicates that there are plenty of organizations to help fund this.

I am happy that her son is doing so well. My son was doing excellent at that

time in his life too. However, now at eleven he is having difficulties and

there are clearly still plenty of issues to deal with. I consider myself

fortunate, my son is very high functioning and continuing to make progress. But

I do not consider him recovered. He is a beautiful work in progress and a

blessing to me every day.

I have enjoyed Jennie on television talking about autism and appreciate the

awareness. I also appreciate that she is bringing awareness of biomedical

interventions. But she herself keeps saying that one size does not fit

all....but then seems to be telling us that if we too did what she did our

children would be recovered.

I do look forward to reading her book. Is any of the profits going to an

organization or just to her? Just curious, as I do not remember it being

mentioned.

I appreciate her efforts to raise awareness.........but she needs to understand

that there is just not funds out there readily available to us for our kids.

Re: Re: Where is Barbara Walters Medical

Degree?

I can't agree with you.

I am the the " bad people like Barbara or parents

that supposly have no faith and do things like

sorry, but I will not allow this woman to come and

tell me my 3 children wil be recover by following

what she saids. "

Well I tried the diet with my 3 son's

So how about going back to one size don't fits all?

I believe that my children have an illnes call autism,

but noone is going to come and TELL ME they have the

right answer.

And make money out of it...

She seems emotional but not open to other things not

to mentionn her son is very young to say " he is

recover "

Let's do this 10 years later, I mean Is not that I

don't like her, is more like when it comes to autism,

you have to be careful in what your preach cause my

3 autistic son's talk just as much and behave just

like hers son, And I do not fell they are recover i

don't know, I wonder why she believes this,Has she

done chelation like many of us or metal detox

perhaps?
