They are both doing well. Olivia was set to go in yesterday at 10:30a but they sterilized the wrong side of metal. It took 3 hours to get the right stuff ready. She ended up going in at 2:30p. was back with her at 6p. The top rib on the left side was nice and solid. They were able to use it as a great anchor point for the Veptr 2. Liv slept all night and has been awake since 10a today. She has eaten a little bit and propped up in bed a little bit. She's on moderate pain meds considering the surgery she had!(Tordol and Lortab) Please continue to pray for her recovery. Grandma is there now and her cousins will be coming in the next few days. has a big presentation on Monday there. wanted me to thank all of you for your prayers and great thoughts. Keep them coming!! shellie

Guest guest
Dear - I can only image how hard it must be, based on my own experience with painful surgeries and post-op....it's the hardest thing that anyone can go through, in my opinion. I'd rather have the pain myself, rather than for my child. I know it's not easy. Even with the good news of the surgery, post-op like this can be so hard. Pain meds, throwing up...I would also have been so frustrated with the initial mistake and the surgery being delayed and thus more starving....I hate the pre-op no food thing & often can't eat myself, although I know I need the strength. We as parents suffer with them, but try to provide strength in front of them. My heart goes out to you. Many times, our children end up stronger than us...and bounce back amazingly! You know that we are all here WITH YOU, thinking about you and Liv and trying to send you as much strength as possible!! As I know that we use your strength when we are down. She is a super little girl and has a SUPER STRONG MOMMY! Sending thoughts, prayers, and as much strength as possible to you... M.
