They are good people - not sure how well equipped they are for special needs kids but I would start there for your family and see what they can do. Pedia doctor needed I am new to San /Helotes area. I live in Sonoma Ranch off of Seale Parkway. I am looking for a Pediatrician for my 10 year old autistic son and my 15 year old son. I also need a dentist for my 10 year old. Guest guest Posted September 1, 2008 Report Share Posted September 1, 2008 Hi nie: I am not sure where exactly you are located, but when I lived in New Braunfels, I used to drive to San to take my kids to the Dr. I used Dr. Kempf on Oakwell Court. She is a family practice doctor. When I was going to her she was a DAN! practitioner, but I'm not sure if she still is. We were not DAN! patients but she did suggest some things that were on the protocol because of my son's " gut " issues and such. I have 2 kids on the spectrum and we all really enjoyed seeing her. My daughter on the spectrum was a holy terror in her office and Dr. KEmpf was cool and calm. The only reason we are not seeing Dr. Kempf is because I moved to Ohio last year.
