Guest guest
I only gave him an ounce because I know he is very toxic. I did not expect him to drink it all at once because a few weeks back when I introduced my neighbor to it, it took him 2 hrs and lots of laughing and coughing to drink 2 oz. I expected the same from this friend. But he tricked me. KT never did anything like that to me but it gave my dad an " evacuation " experience last year at his first taste. I never saw my health change once starting KT, but I currently seem to be having my health go forward again since starting kefir back up. I was drinking kefir most of last year, but two sets of grains from the same source just wouldn't grow. So I quit in Nov to regroup, think and form a new strategy. Then I searched out new grains from another person and 5 weeks ago started back in and this is all I can attribute my current health thrust to. BOY isn't " regaining our health " really all just so much trial and error? Lyn ----- Original Message ----- Hi Lyn, Too much too soon and all at once. Best to start with a small amount, sip slowly and also drink plenty of plain water throughout the day. I once gave a liter of Kombucha tea to a restaurant to try out as I was selling KT at the time. The chef in the kitchen liked the taste and drank the whole bottle. I think he had a similar experience to your friend. Some things are best savored slowly! Peace, Love and Harmony, Bev > > I have a friend who I have been talking to about KT for a month or two. But I asked him how he felt once it was in his system because I just knew there was more to the story! He was " tastefully descriptive " to tell me he felt it go ALL THE WAY THRU. Right to the end. I asked if he felt it coursing through his blood stream, and he said he felt it as being warming. He also said his bowels felt it. Guest guest
I'm not convinced on this. I can easily understand issues from drinking a liter, but Lyn gave her friend just one ounce. That seems like a very small amount, what are you supposed to do, tell people to just lick the spoon? I usually give folks about a 4 ounce glass to try it, and nobody has had a bad reaction yet. Most of these folks are presumably pretty toxic since they routinely consume the SAD. I brew mine strong too, close to 3 weeks. LOL mine is so sour even i don't drink a liter at a time, much less a noob Sometimes i'll finish a whole half liter bottle, but i always accompany it with a lotta watta! - Woody
