Guest guest
Dear NevinHow interesting.. My husband is German so if you need anything translating then let me know.. We have always been impresed with the way in which German doctors approach health.. The oxygen mask seems really sensible- are you thinking of having oxygen at home like people with Sleep apnea or how might it work. I really hope that this gives your son the support to help him to continue with his healing.. was very unwell after her surgery and as you say... I think he played a big role in helping her bounce back.. Best wishesTrace Hello! Perhaps you would like to hear about Dr Kees. Recently Scotson highly recommended him. Anyway, we went toabc clinic today, it was outside of the Grinstead , quite distinctive practice. DrRees has got a lab and a dispensary and also other therapies in there I think. He observed my son, checked his oxygen level, it was very low. He said if a normal person distributes 600ml (I may be wrong!!), he has perhaps 1/6..so his body starving for oxygen and he hyperventilates more to get oxygen, what a strange turmoil! I asked him why can't he breath properly, has he forgotten how to breath? he said; sometime in his development he had perhaps a virus or something (perhaps a toxic element) disturbed and the damage affects the other organs. That's what I understood. His urine PH is very alkaline but saliva is acidic. It didn't make sense to him, so he checked my son with a special computerised scanning, two areas highlighted with red colurs..liver and intestine. the muscles around there.. He gave me the emergency ,synergetic supplements such as basic amino acids, ca/mgchrom, molybdenum a mixed for body alkaline/acidic condition, liquid carnitin and nano-quinol (active for m of Q10)spray. all written in German so I can not understand more than the name but they are for energising his body.. My son also gave blood for allergies, micronutritients,a few other things. I haven't got the results and the report yet. But my understanding is he has acidosis in the tissue...suffering from oxygen deprivation. I knew these before but I didn't have quite grasp of the condition perhaps. We are on the third package of TST, on the second page there was some improvement, even my GP noticed this then his hyperventilation rocketed again...I will try osteopathy perhaps he can learn to imitate how to breath! Shortly, abc clinic looks very professional.Dr Kees looks very knowledgeable and has broaden experiences, treatment steps is clear..ofcourse everything is related with the cost, which is not cheap! We've got the first emergency packet .He said you will see some improvement soon. He also recommended oxygen mask, Dr Goyal has also recommended this and I will contact with the neurologist in order to get this. This is the summary. My impression is positive. I am sharing this in case somebody would like to hear as I raised a question about this DR. Nevin
Guest guest
Ahh yes, Dr Kees. sent me there as well. Sorry to say, but, we didn't get on. I found that he was not up todate with several things - iodine and thyroid issues for a start. Lots of fancy equipment which didn't tell me anything I didn't know. Of course Dr Kees kept saying that the next test will sort it out, it will tell us what we need to know - it didn't. Totally rubbished tests I had carried out - his were much better after all, refused to even acknowledge the results of the test - ay least the NHS haven't done this. Wanted to give CQ10 at about 4.00pm in the afternoon - didn't seem to know that it can cause problems with sleeping if you give at that time. His supplements were much better than anyone elses (of course). I know that feels that she owes her life to him almost, but, I personally would not trust him with my child or for me. I think that the Breakspear is much better value for money. He is very, very expensive for what he does.Gave L-carnitine to my dd - Not a good idea, said she would have more energy later - she actually was even more tired! > > Hello! > > Perhaps you would like to hear about Dr Kees. Guest guest
I have sleep apnoea and am treated by Papworth Hospital. The treatment is CPAP - which is to deliver normal air under pressure through a mask. No oxygen is involved. Margaret > > > > > > > Hello! > > > > Perhaps you would like to hear about Dr Kees. Guest guest
Hello! I wish I had heard your view before, possibly if would help me a make decision to see him or not! In our case identifying once more a clear medical condition by another dr was expected for my side.Yes, he doesn't know about the autism treatment protocols.I took Autism File and they copied the contact, perhaps now on they will be uptaded! All I wanted a good medical dr,knows the body and organ functioning.I think he knows that, if any organ doesn't function for some reason, it affects the whole body and you can not excrete the metals if you have any.On the other hand, if you have metals, your organs have been affected, so you have to get rid of unwanted stuff..This is a paradox..Isn't it? In terms of hyperventilation, he confirmed oxygen mask is a good idea because he is starving, paper bag is also affective..I knew that!I was given a possibly more absorbable liquid form of salts for blood(help the balance ..electrolze..sorry misspell!) Yes, we are giving the energy supplement, it may be good idea as seizure medication is robbing some good things from his body, like folic acid..But i need to know what are the elements of this supplements.Amino acids support...this is the main ,everybody 's essential amino acids...9 tablets a day..it means 1 g..I don't know if it is a good idea..I will check with my Turkish dr. You see what situation makes us...suspect everything...... At present my main focus area...help my boy to breath efficiently if you can.. Make a metal test, hair or whatever and try Andy Cutler protocol..Make his body gets some strength and start slowly..If I can get Dr Goyal support on this, it will be good. I went to see Dr Kees to hear a second opinion..He is very expensive... Margaret.,Here is the price: Consultation £190.00 One computerised test £90.00 Supplements cost---£269.00 The cost of blood tests...£500.00 I have to get these test results as I paid this amount of money, there is no way that he can not respond. Then I will present them to my neurologist. Tracey, thanks for the offer for understanding the language. My son's therapist is German,so that will be alright. Many thanks.. All the best nevin In Autism-Biomedical-Europe , " m.kidson60@... Guest guest
Hello Margaret, I've just realised that DrKees charged me in reduce fees in all tests and his consultation, include the supplements.Ofcourse it came up quite high but I have to say this, in fact I just realized it now! nevin > > > > Hello! > > > > Perhaps you would like to hear about Dr Kees. Guest guest
Maybe Dr Kees will be just what you need Nevin, you never know. I did say to , that I felt that he would benefit from knowing more about TST as he seemed to know very little about it. Apart from not knowing any autism protocols, he also was not aware of endocrine issues. The Metametrix Individual Optimal Nutrition Test that Breakspear do is very good, very expensive, but it looks at alot of nutritional areas, and neurotransmitters and any amino acid deficiencies etc. > > > > > > Hello! > > > > > > Perhaps you would like to hear about Dr Kees. Guest guest
Hi , No he is not the right one,I 've paid a heavy price..Tonight my son had another tonic clonic seizure.I gave him one amino asit tablet in the morning, the second dose in the afternoon and half an hour he had the seizure..He was given total 1g,9 tablets! In the emergency..dr checked his oxgyen level ,showed 99 and he said " totally normal " ..He agreed to recommend my neurologist to refer him respiratory and also metabolic specialistis.I think I will find the answer through the NHS.The private route is full of danger and waste of huge money! nevin > > > > > > > > Hello! > > > > > > > > Perhaps you would like to hear about Dr Kees. Guest guest
I think that with epilepsy there is no such thing as an instant cure.. If his breathing is not good, it is conceivable that he has a very toxic body.. so every time his breathing does improve it probably brings about a little more detox... and this process of detoxing can spark off seizures..just as viruses , tiredness, stress, dehydration and mental fatigue can.. It is a host of stuff which makes a difference. Because seizures happen without any real pattern it is very easy to flit from one thing to the next and our children's bodies are hyper sensitive to change... Little by little with detailed diarising and monitoring is the only way we were able to get an overall picture of DD.- now 190 days seizure free. Seizures are not a totally cool thing to have to deal with, however with less than 40% of people being controlled with standard drugs... it is not a straight forward condition and it appears that the triggers and wider impact of the seizure condition is very child specific. Mainstream meds do not understand much of epilepsy.. and our experience with neuros has been limited to them wanting to hand out additional AEDs to mix .. in the hope that they may or may not work. My niece in Germany has developed epilepsy... she has been using an alternate doctor.. and initially her seizures did not seem good on the therapy... she was found to have both measles virus in the brain and guillaine barres virus too. I have been speaking to a neuro scientist recently and he mentioned that the latter can appear with very low oxygenation in the brain.. after 6 months she is now under control- Her seizures are very different to the ones DD used to have which were more clonic tonic.. My niece has paralysis in her limbs.. with her seizures. The monitor I think measures blood oxygen at that point... like the fingers etc .. it cannot measure blood oxygen in the brain. and for many of us it appears that the link with seizures is low brain oxygen in certain trigger sites in the brain.- and seizures can be triggered by a decrease in oxygenation of points in the brain. I am so sorry that he is not yet breathing well, just wonder if he needs to have only one sort of intervention or therpay for a while to assess whether it is working before adding anything else.. How would he cope with HBOT?Best WishesTracey Hi , No he is not the right one,I 've paid a heavy price..Tonight my son had another tonic clonic seizure.I gave him one amino asit tablet in the morning, the second dose in the afternoon and half an hour he had the seizure..He was given total 1g,9 tablets! Guest guest
Hi Nevinthis is very interesting. Will you keep us informed when you get the blood results and report.I have said before I see so many similarities with your son and my son Charlie. Charlie is still breastfed and very reluctant to give up. Health professional are urging me to stop and his idiot general pead has even said it is clearly against nutritional benefit. However I know there is more of a reason he needs it than what I can see. For a long time I have wondered if he uses this to neutralise his body. After a trivial virus he stops eating and just wants breastmilk for 3-4 weeks. Your post has got me thinking again.BWAlison Hello! Perhaps you would like to hear about Dr Kees. Guest guest
Hi AlisonI think part of the sucking action actually helps the breathing mechanism.. We were told early on to allow tash to have an orthodontic dummy as this would help her expand her very high arch in her mouth and improve her breathing too.. I know of people who have breast fed up to 6 years old and have raised a brilliant child... so I guess if it works for you ... ignore the meds.Tracey Hi Nevinthis is very interesting. Will you keep us informed when you get the blood results and report.I have said before I see so many similarities with your son and my son Charlie. Guest guest
Hi Vilma, We get oxygen for my son at home, using a cylinder and mask. Our GP was not able to prescribe as it seems the prescribing rules changed and oxygen can now only be prescribed on the NHS by a respiratory/chest specialist. However, our paediatrician agreed to prescribe. As ds has severe epilepsy the oxygen was prescibed really on the grounds of his periodic clusters of seizures which normally go on for months and are unrelenting, so he is really unable to get any breathing space or any recovery when this is going on and there is only so much emergency AED's he can cope with over such a long period. > > > > Hello! > > > > Perhaps you would like to hear about Dr Kees. Guest guest
Hi Nevin Thank you very much for your reply, much appreciated. I don't think I will be able to get the mask and oxygen for my son as he doesn't have seizures. I hope you get to the bottom of DD problems and he gets all the help he needs. God bless you. Guest guest
Dear Alison, Yes, ofcourse.I am impatiently waiting for his test results. Whatever DrKees gave to my son seem to have very strong or very good quality of nature. But my son is in a fragile state now,so exploring different things which is not good.In fact he has been using Trisalt..ca/Mg/Na ...to help alkaline/acidic condition perhaps more than a year but the one which we were using came from Breakspear, Pure I think, the brand.Dr Kees' stuff may be more good quality. Amino acids..are a bit trick one, he was tested at the NHS recently ( I haven't received the result yet!).In the past Glutamine and Argininie were low.But the one which DrKees gave us the basic amino acids, essential ones.So what's the problem I don't know.perhaps it is not related with his seizure but I gave the second dos, he didn't want to take and in 20 min.he had the seizure...he also gave active form of Q10, one drop on a tongue..he had it on that day,but just a drop! My son had a computerised test over there, an electrot around his head was put on, he was holding two metal rods and his feet were on the metal feet shape..and the system was scanning his body..perhaps this one triggered..however, we managed returning to London by train and the second day in the afternoon the incident happened, perhaps tiredness.Whatever the reason i will not give anything to hi at the present except vit c,e,b,probiotics,enzymes..I think Dr Kees treatment heavily focused on the energised body, he didn't focus on his seizure at all but pointed the body balance.Reading he did his doctorate on the cardiology was encouraging me to go him.The Emergency consultant pediatrician questioned his cardio.qualification but I don't know much. nevin > > > > > > > Hello! > > > > Perhaps you would like to hear about Dr Kees. Guest guest
HI Nevin, Has your son been investigated for GERD? My daughter used to breathe like she was hyperventilating when she was small because of reflux pain. There is also a condition called Sandifer syndrome that causes abnormal movements often misataken as seizures. http://emedicine.medscape.com/article/931761-overview Hope you have some answers and help for your son soon.
