Hi ,

You can read this and all previous such newsletters online here:

http://www.rifeforum.com/newsletter

The Star Trek two-part episode (or the 90 minute movie version) mentioned in the

newsletter is called " Blood and Fire " and can be downloaded free and legally

from here:

http://www.startrekphase2.de/4x04_blood_and_fire_part_1.html

This and the other episodes on that site I run, are made by dedicated fans to a

very high standard, both from an acting point of view and in regard to sets and

special effects. Production quality is on a par with the original episodes from

Paramount. Three more episodes are due for release this year, the next (Enemy

Starfleet) is due for release in April.

I received a number of comments regarding the Star Trek story in the newsletter,

nearly all of them positive. The only non-positive comment I received was " I am

interested in Rife technology, not Star Trek. Other than that, an interesting

read. "

As to the AIDS topic raised in the episode, which is symbolised by an epidemic

of " Blood worms " that attack the crew (great horrific CGI effects). For me the

most daring statements made come about 12 minutes into part two.

Spock: Dr. Yar, what controls these creatures in their native environment?

Dr. Yar: There aren't any controls. These things aren't native to anywhere.

Blodgett: They were created by the ancient Regulans as a weapon.

Bones: With no controls, no antidotes?

Blodgett: They were a doomsday weapon!

Dr. Yar: They destroyed the Regulans and anyone else who approached!

Bones: Well they got the doomsday part right!

Now when you consider the various reports that the " AIDS " causing virus were

created genetically in a lab, those lines are quite powerful I think.

By the way, Dr. Jenna Yar was played by the actress Crosby who also

played " Natscha Yar " (Granddaughter of Jenna Yar) in Star Trek The Next

Generation.
