Guest guest Posted November 11, 2010 Report Share Posted November 11, 2010 Woo Hoo! I have the day off from work today for Veteran's Day! So, this morning I did one mile of from teh 5 Day Fit Walk DVD - the walk I did used the weighted balls, I used my Voight Green Genie balls which are around 3 lbs. Then, I did Sleek Effect from Voight's Sleek Essentials kit. In true vidiot style, I had this kit, traded it, and then re-acquired it b/c I missed it. Silly me. Anyway, Sleek Effect is a fusion of yoga, Pilates, core work and stretching. Very nice. it is not a "traditional" foam roller workout though - you do not use the roller to mash away knots in your muscles or fascia, it is more used as a prop/tool than anything else, but now that I know that, I'm good with it and it did add some challenges to the exercises. Then, as a bonus, after school drop off (kids have school but I'm off work- which is so nice to have a day "off") a friend of mine and I went walking. we walked for an hour and 15 min. I"m not sure how far we went, we have a good pace but we also talk - I'm going to count it as 4 miles. Tomorrow, plans are to do a 4 Mile - may do Punch up your walk since I haven't done that in a long time and saw did it today! Then, I'd like to add some stretching. Hope everyone has a good day!
