Guest guest
The kind of container is a factor which matters to the reputation of REAL MILK as a gourmet food. Some people can taste the difference between raw milk contained in plastic, versus raw milk kept in glass. Milk definitely keeps longer in glass, than in plastic. Of course, at your scale, all the washing of jars is not worth your time, for net return of $$. How about two prices : a high price for milk already in a gallon glass jar, and another lower price for people who show up with their own container, then draw it themselves from a bulk tank? Make them pay a deposit on the glass jar, then credit that when they bring it in again. True re-cycling preserves capital in the hands of the People, rather than the usurers ============================== >> Hi,> > I am located in Oklahoma City, OK, and I have been searching for a closer > place than Tulsa/Claremore area for gallon and 1/2 gallon plastic milk jugs > and lids.
