Guest guest
Hey Everyone! I'm sorry I have'nt posted in a while, but I have been super busy with a nasty storm we got with 85mph winds that tore part of my roof off an pulled up a concreted swing out of my yard and wrapped it around a tree, and with the fundraiser..so I was wondering...I have been dropped down to 8mg prednisone from 9mg and my Imuran has increased from 100mg to 150mg its only been 6 day's since i dropped down on the prednisone, but been on the increased Imuran for 2 weeks, well the past couple of days especialy last night I noticed a couple of things such as a few of my joints have been hurting/aching,painfull and this dang sore throat has came back! grrr lol but it feels like I have the flu, with the aches, pains, stinging feeling in my muscles, joint's cracking and popping.I'm really not sure what to think,I was doing well until I was decreased on the pred. it almost seems as though my Imuran is not doing it's job now,I have not slept at all, tried to goto bed around 9pm last nite, but I have been up feeling so horrible that I sat up most of last night crying because I really don't want to go through another flair up if that's what is going on,and being fairly new to this,it scares the crap out of me,I hate the " unknown " of this nasty disease! I'm supposed to be on the 8mg of prednisone for 3 week's then drop down to 7mg for 2 weeks and then I go back to my RA,but I'm wondering if I should call her and let her know what I'm feeling? because at this point,I really dont think I should drop to the 7mg just yet.Oh,and my inflamtion marker is still on the high side, but all the other's look normal, just the inflamation is still high. What do you guy's think? flair up comming or just wore out? Btw:I have been working on the fundraiser,I'm still looking at all the options, including first aid kits and bracelets. And HI to all the new member's I missed, and welcome home! And Larry, hope your feeling better hun, still praying for you! Hope everyone is having a good, and pain free morning! xoxoxo
Guest guest
I would call your Ra doc . some people when there lowering there predasion can have things like this happen and they may have to go back up some then lower again but this is some thing that only your doc can let you know or do as it is all very personal and has to be watched closly. I know I had no problems going down fast and hard and was lucky in that but my sister had a horabel time with it and was bouncing all over the place trying to lowere her dosage. she also was some much one day then so much another and so on . each day was defrent in how much and each day was also defrent is it being higher or lower then the day before . for my self each day or time I changed it was only lower. so as you can see each person is very defrent and so yes call your doctor and let them know what going on with you how your feeling and all the things you posted small and big then fallow there advice but again they also need your feed back simply because each person is so defrent so there is no hard fast set rules in it same as what dose helps were all defreent so the same for lowering it also good luck and hugs the rednecks Marty & G. the redneck's my space http://www.myspace.com/martyg58 To learn about Stills Disease http://www.stillsdisease.org/stills_info For conservitive minded people http://www.americac2c.org " If we ever forget that we're one nation under God, then we will be a nation gone under. Guest guest
Hey, I agree with Marty. Sometimes even a teeny little mg can make a difference. I (and many others) have all been lowered and then had to bump back up temporarily. I have been on 150mg of Imuran and Remicade every 6 weeks and currently at 22.5mg prednisone and still get the hurts. I see my rheumy in the morning. Check in with your doc and let her/him know your current status. She is the one best to advise you. Also, keep in mind that as much as we hate the evil roids and do our best to taper down to the lowest dose possible, It is not a contest and just because you may need to bump up temporarily, do not look on it as a failure. I haven't seen less than 17mg in almost 3 years. I keep working on it, but you gotta do what works for you.
