Milk Filters

A weird thing happened to me this morning. I've been using the same milk filter

and filters (from Hoegger's) for years now. This morning, after milking just

three goats, the filter stopped flowing. Occasionally this happens so I just

switch out to a different filter. I did this morning, about six times and the

milk still wouldn't flow. I looked at the filters that I had tried to run the

milk through and noticed what I think was a layer of fat on the filter.

Recently I started feeding them rice bran, but only a small amount. Is it

possible there's too much fat in the milk now and it won't go through the

filter? Have I turned my goats into Jersey cows?

Thanks in advance.
