Guest guest
I had read this in a dairy trade magazine a couple years ago, but did not believe it was possible, but then heard in on the radio yesterday. Chinese scientists have successfully added a human gene to cows that causes the fat and protein profile to to be identical to human breast milk. The idea was that it would be easier and more convenient than breast feeding. Now I know I am speaking strictly from the guy perspective, but what is more convenient than breast feeding? It is already portable, the right temperature, complete nutrition designed for the individual child. And it come in an attractive package. This new product, the announcer went on to say, will be chock full of antibodies and enzymes that the baby needs and that breast feeding offers. It is expected to be on store shelves in about two years, in a UHT, does not have to be refrigerated package. THAT is really going to preserve the integrity of the product.BTW, how long do you think it will be before "they" start tinkering with it to make it "more nutritious and digestible?"I an not swearing about the veracity of this story, only relaying what I heard on the radio.I do not have time today, but some of you, please research this a little and see if we can find out if it is true.
