Taking life one day at a time is pretty rough, but when we bear eachothers load, the burden is lighter. That you're all sick and tired of being sick and tired? I know, everyone who struggles daily with this damnable disease wants nothing more than to be either of the " subject " line! It can and frequently DOES happen, it's happening with me..yes there is joint destruction from my bouts with full blown SD, but I don't have the systemic issues as much. is pretty much the same. Docken is back to work, living his life, after being one sick puppy for several years. Many of the folks who's SD is managed by meds, or " unsymptomatic " don't post here often..they're out living their lives. I know how this disease grinds people down, I've been where many of you are!I just want, more than anything to give you hope, that one day you might be one of those who are better,in however manner that reprieve comes. The other day, we had an " unsub " someone who unsubs from our mailing list, as a moderator and an interested party I e-mail each person and ask why they are leaving the list. This helps us to know what involvement people have with us. The reply was from a lady who apparently dropped in to see what we are all about, and has been free from the Dragon for 10 years, and now has a full and happy life. She went on to say how pleased she was that the group is here for everyone, but that she couldn't keep up with the heavy mailings. So, please, remember that in your darkest moments, when you don't think you can make it another second, recall how much you've already overcome in this disease, you're all " still standing " !
