Hi, this is kinda interesting but did you mean to post to another list? This

list is about Kombucha...

Dear Ones,

Some years back I met a man with six dogs who said that he kept one old dog

living for six more years, by giving it shark cartilage.

I told my doctor son in Austin. They had a dog so crippled that it couldn't

climb the stairs.

On shark cartilage, it ran up the stairs and climbed onto the counter.

Now my daughter declares that shark cartilage may help my gout

She is using it to renew her 13-year-old cat.

So another daughter is sending me shark cartilage, imu oil and something else. I

think that emu's resemble ostriches.

She says that emu oil takes away pain and smoothes the skin on one's face.

A few years back I was in touch with an emu ranch in Highland, MD. Emu meat is

very low in fat or so they say. One could buy it from the ranch, but it wasn't

available in our local stores. O. Woe.

P. S. That company she ordered from was Bell. They give money back guarantees

and don't use fillers. I know nothing about them, personally.

Hi Jay,

Occasional off-topic posts are allowed on the OK list as long as Kombucha

remains the primary topic. When posting off-topic it is good to put [OT]in the

subject line so that people who do not want to read off topic posts can just

skip them.

Peace, Love and Harmony,

Bev

Anyone verifying how the shark cartilage is harvested? A lot of practices

are really horrible, they pull the sharks from the water, fin them and

throw them back in to die. At the rate we're going sharks many species of

sharks are near extinction.

I am all for alternative techniques and medicines. Please just make sure

things are being procured in ethical humane ways.

Human do really well on shark cartilage and HA.  Emu oil is also very good for

humans.  And of course KT is much cheaper but does not do what emu oil, shark

cartiage and HA can do.

Personally I have read, don't know about it perosnally, that hyaluronic acid,

commonlly known as HA ,works even better for joint related issues and helps to

get rid of wrinkles!

I want to get some HA for my doggie but just may have to take some myself! LOL

Warmly,

Well maybe so.  People still take it and seem to find benefit...surely because

it may not be the best cancer cure that it has no value at all.  It surely

does cost more than K.T.

I guess my point is to me it doesn't matter if it does work. It might be

the best thing since sliced bread but if by our raping the oceans of their

sharks to provide something that might work for some people a little bit we

cause an entire species to go extinct is it worth it? I know my answer.

Others can decide for themselves. It is just important people understand

where what they eat, drink, take as supplements, etc comes from. What

impact does that have on the ecosystem? Once the sharks are gone what else

is impacted? Sharks have a role in the ocean ecosystem.

There are lots of things we can do and take for joints that don't call of

the mass slaughter of animals. I can list many. I won't comment on this

anymore. I just wanted folks to be aware of how shark cartilage was being

harvested if they didn't already know.
