Guest guest
I was overweight by about 60 lbs when I started, but the doc said he didn’t have much luck getting people to lose weight so we wouldn’t wait on that. I was stage 1, grade 2 with 146000 viral load. The biggest thing that worked in my favor was my attitude. I decided I was going to do and finish tx and it was going to be successful. It was really hard at times and my blood counts got low enough to cut back, but my doc & I worked closely together to monitor everything so I didn’t have to (at one point I was doing labs twice a week). I educated myself and attacked the dragon with everything God gave me, and with the love and support of this group (and a few kicks in the ass). A friend’s brother died of hep while I was on tx & that also spurred me on to continue my fight because he lost his. And I had Patty Pooh, my tx twin, here with me doing it together, laughing at each other’s brain fog. Drink lots of water. (always a survivor) RE: Hi to all - new Connie It's good to hear that those with genotype 1 have and do clear. What things worked in your favor when you started treatment? Were you of normal weight? Did you have a low viral load? How was your biopsy? Colleen
Guest guest
Viral load only 146,000? That's really low. Mine is almost 6 million. Guest guest
Yeah, it was low, but yours is just a number, too. Viral load doesn’t determine response rate, thank God. If only they knew what did determine response rate, we’d have it made. RE: Colleen Viral load only 146,000? That's really low. Mine is almost 6 million. Guest guest
I always heard that the higher the viral load, the harder to completely clear.
