I'm sooo glad this work wk is over!!! WHEW! One day on my 2nd job then I'm off

for 9 days!! (I took Masters wk off, traffic is awful and I live practically

across the street from it.)

Well my ankle is almost back to norm, but my knee is still iffy. Since my ankle

is better I haven't called my MD yet. I didn't do anything this AM again. I went

back to Movie Stop to look at their fitness section again. They still have the

buy 2 get 1 free on the used exercise dvds. So, blindly (I forgot about the site

where you can preview dvds), I bought:

#1-the 10 Minute Solution pilates with 5 different 10 min sections that can be

mix/matched to suit.

#2 the Prevention Ultimate Walking Workout with Freytag. Sansone

didn't have any used ones on the shelf. I figured Prevention mag wouldn't put

something out that was a waste of time. I hope this is comparable. It has a body

shaping workout, a walking workout and accelerated workout. I think they're bout

20 mins each.

#3 Shape Toning workout with 15 min segments of abs, butt/hips,thighs, upper

body and a 20 min fat burning interval workout. Same as Prevention, I didn't

think Shape would put out something that wouldn't work. I just hope they work

for ME!!

I'm gonna try the walking one in the AM. I even bought some new crosstrainer

shoes from Kohl's. I had a little left on a gift card from Christmas and they

were $25 off! No more spending! They guy came and bought the rebounder this AM,

so that offset the out of pocket. YAY!

Carolyn, I hope you feel better soon. I've heard some ppl say not to exercise

while sick, then I've heard others say that's the best thing to do. I personally

think rest is best. If the energy isn't there, then rest. Have you spoken to

your MD? You may be able to get some meds to help you fight this. The cruddy

stuff is still alive a " well " down here too. BTW, what does " dom " mean? I've

seen it in your posts several times. (I'm still figuring out the abbreviations

y'all use!)

Have a good evening.

Hi Tracey,

It sounds like you got some good buys - I like all the 10 Min Solution workouts- especially the Pilates ones since those are a mainstay for me. I also think I borrowed that Freytag one from the library and it was pretty good - did it come with a CD also? And, I knlow i have the Shape one...just can't remember it! :) But most of the Shape ones are good.

Hope your knee feels better.

Hi Tracey,

I'm glad to hear your ankle is doing so well, I hope the knee follows too!

I had the 10 min. Sol'n Pilates and it is excellent but be aware it is more suited for intermediates than pilates beginners. I'm a pilates beginner and don't love it (probably because I need the abs work) so I ended up trading this one for something I'd use more but, if you like pilates, it is great. I don't have the others but I'll look forward to hearing what you have to see say about them!

"DOMS" stands for delayed onset muscle soreness... it is the soreness you feel after a really good workout, usually the next day (but I'm already feeling my quads and hamstrings from today's workout).
