Guest guest
So, I dont have any visable stones, but I have suffered with this mild right flank pain for over 5 years now. At times it feels like it isj ust under my lower rib, then other times i sense it more in my lower back, or side just below the last rib. I have had CT's and xrays, even CT with oral contrast looking for issues with intestines. Nothing. Noone can tell me why this is bothering me. Nothing to do with a fatty meal, and it isnt a sharp stabing thing so i doubt it is gallbladder. Best i can describe is it feel sort of like I had to pee for a while and helpd it too long. That nagging pain you might get even after you have gone...only this never seems to go away. Sometimes more annoying than others, like today. I do have a deformed/oversized right kidney as a birth defect. It was was going to be two, but didnt split. It has a duplicate collecting system and what is described on CT as a very generous renal pelvis...what ever that means. I often even wonder if this has something to do with the cause of my PA and the adreanal being hyperplacia for aldo. One would think that i would have had problems at a younger age if that were true, and I should have developed into the muscle bound incredible hulk with all the also floating around in my body, but that didnt happen. There is scarring on the lower pole that hasnt changed in 3 years. Could that be casing some kind of reflux that is making my kidney ache, but because there are 2 ureters it has a back door to take so to speak? If i remember right, the ureters merge before entering the bladder. It is about as annoying as pulled muscles the day after a workout. I can tolerate it, but it sure would be nice not to have to do that. ============================================================================45-Male-Caucasian, 5'9"- 234lbs, PA Diagnosed 2007 Suspected Hyperplasia-No tumors on CT - No AVS.Meds: 100mg Spiro, 1800mg Calcium, 1000mg Magnesium, 100,000UI Vit D (weekly), 20mg OmeprazoleSide effects: Gynecomastia, stomach inflammationOther Diags: GERD, Hiatal Hernia, Metabolic Syndrome - PreDiabetic, Secondary Hyperparathyroidism caused by Renal calcium leak, Bone Cyct in left Femoral Head and Pelvis. Can't say how much but a quart in 30 min to an hour might do it.I cant recall if you were having large urine volumes from all the Lo Na V-8?CE Grim MDNot called that, no. But, my endo and i talked about the possiblity that the scaring might causing it. Problem is, how do we diagnos it? I had this happening long before I was taking any diretics. I could be tied to the scarring if it resulted about the same time I had a lung infection in 2005. Perhaps I had a kidney infection at the same time..I guess I could test it by not drinking much for a period of time to see if it does away, then make it come back by drinking alot of water. I probably already owe you $$$ for convincing me to try dash. ============================================================================45-Male-Caucasian, 5'9"- 234lbs, PA Diagnosed 2007 Suspected Hyperplasia-No tumors on CT - No AVS.Meds: 100mg Spiro, 1800mg Calcium, 1000mg Magnesium, 100,000UI Vit D (weekly), 20mg OmeprazoleSide effects: Gynecomastia, stomach inflammationOther Diags: GERD, Hiatal Hernia, Metabolic Syndrome - PreDiabetic, Secondary Hyperparathyroidism caused by Renal calcium leak, Bone Cyct in left Femoral Head and Pelvis. When you drink a lot or take a diuretic you get urine back up in renal pelvis giving pain.If so you owe me some consulting $ as not many know what it is. ;-)Suspect no one has ever mentioned it to you either.CE Grim MDSo, I dont have any visable stones, but I have suffered with this mild right flank pain for over 5 years now.
