Guest guest
Shara & Rochelle, The footage of the tornado was unbelievable! I saw on the news this a.m. that it had picked up a car and tossed it 3 blocks away from where it was originally parked! I am relieved to hear that your brother, sister and their families and homes are alright. HRH Re: Re: cooling vest questions- Tasha, Putting something in the front to help the weight distribution might work. Would you be able to go to your local fabric store and perhaps buy a few of the weights they use in the bottom of drapes to keep them hanging correctly?? My idea is to take a small pieces of cloth, put the weights in them, and for now safety pin them in the front. Let us know if this helps to balance things out. If it does we can work this into the design. The main thing I am concerned about is adding extra weight. The kids already have added weight with the cast and ice packs but if it doesn't take too many maybe this will work. By the way, in case you heard about the tornados in Northern Colorado, both my brother and sister live in the area. My brother is a minister (he lives in Greely) who works for hospice and he was in Windsor at a patient's home and left 45 minutes before one took out a large part of town. The home he was at was badly damaged along with a great deal of the neighborhood but just minor injuries other than the one man killed in a motorhome. My baby sister's boys, both in grade school, were at school, locked down, and in the basement for about an hour. They were both really scared!!! One hit just 5 miles north of my sister's home. Thank God they are all okay!!! Very frightening day!!! Hope all goes well for the victims!!! Shara Re: [infantile_scoliosi s] Re: I got the cooling vest! OK I have 1 more question.... ..washing the vest. Just throw in the washer I assume? I think I will hang to dry unless you think it might shrink a little.... could use that. Thanks, Tasha McDowell <juliegrace777@ yahoo.com> wrote: Agreed! Rochelle & Shara - thank you for taking an idea and making it happen so that our children can benefit!! We used it at the zoo over the weekend, and stopped sweating for an hour while we enjoyed the animals. It's so nice that we can go out in the heat, put the cooling best in the cooler and have it if we need it. It's amazing how you designed it - it doesn't condensate water at all. I did have some of the same questions as Tasha. We just used it as the shirt (not under or over) at the zoo because it was cooler that way. So, my husband & I were wondering... why don't we make these for adults too?! - , mom to , Lake Elsinore, CA > > , > Thanks you so much for getting the vest out so quickly! already has it on!!
