Aww, cheer up !  So sorry you are in one of those moods :(  Injuries are terrible..in that they try to slow us down, and mentally we don't want to!  Hang in there!!!!  I look forward to hearing about your low impact workouts next week.  I'm enjoying mine this week ;)

D

Well, I got up and half-heartedly did Body Attack on the rebounder.  My knee hurts and my mood is bad but should improve once Aunt Flo gets here.  I'm sick of having a bum knee!  I didn't run for 3 weeks straight and it still hurts now that I've resumed.   I feel like every time I start running something prevents me from going further, be it a broken toe, shin splints, and now this knee.

Next week I think I will join Darcy in doing mat workouts for low impact, strength, balance and flexibilty.Glum,

, I'm so sorry you are in a bad mood, I hope you feel happy soon. I think mat workouts sound like a good idea for you, but I hope you can run again soon.

Hi ,

I'm sorry to hear that you are down. Injuries are so frustrating! I'm having a rough week - lots of annoying little things happening, nothing tragic, just PITA stuff!

Take care,

((HUGS))Donna

Thank you Donna, Darcy and !  My mood will improve once I start bleeding, I think.  For example, I saw a photo of Noel today and started crying.. my knee hurts and feel that the Olympian Gods are out to get me, no racing for even though she's signed up for the Turkey Trot, Jingle Bell Run and tomorrow I sign up for the Shamrock run but I hope I don't have to friggin WALK these..

Hugs back,

Hugs, thank you !  That's what I needed to hear.

Awwwwwww...

No, that isn't a pity party, it is an acknowledgement of your frustration. I've known it well and it stinks. When you're feeling down anyway, stuff like that, especially pain, only makes it worse. Do workouts that acknowledge your present capabilities but still allow you to push hard enough to feel even more capable on the mat or however makes you feel good about you. I admire your willingness to do something insead of just curling up and giving up.

Hugs to you,

What said! Not a pity party. It's just crappy sometimes.I've thrown away a couple of hefty race fees because I'd sign up, and then have to miss the event because of an injury. I feel ya! It sometimes did feel like a pity party. I've had much better days since then.
